Behind the Scenes #50
Added 2019-09-26 21:22:59 +0000 UTCWhat up, mini family?!
In this week, I worked on another video sponsored by a Kickstarter, one called "Twisted Tales". I painted a model called a Dional Beast.

This model was pretty nuts looking. I don't normally paint monsters so this is bit of an area of discomfort for me. Monsters are like canvases. Unlike a space marine, this kind of model doesn't tell you neatly where each sections end and where the next begins, so you need to interpret a bit.
After I finished that model, I started to work on my video with the Anycubic Photon-S. The first model I am printing is this one

I got it all sliced up, supports in, and got all my settings in place (thanks Ken!) and It's printing and I'm time lapsing it right now!

I need to finish this video by Monday to not breach my contract with Anycubic so wish me luck!
Other than that, I think I'm over committing myself to sponsorships, and I need to dial it back a bit, so I've written out my videos that I'll publish now until the end of the year so I know I have it all straightened out and I don't make that mistake more than once.

2019-09-27 23:41:58 +0000 UTCWith over 800 Patreons I'd say you actually shouldn't take on that many Sponsorships, especially if they're on such a tight deadline. I know you want to create a safety buffer (planning to get a child?) and all that, though I imagine the Patreon income alone should be able to give you a comfortable life and make you less dependant on Sponsorships. I'm not against these, though if it means you'd be sitting there Saturday and Sunday to shoot and edit a video so you can have it with the client on Monday you'll get burned out after a few of such gigs. So better to be happy, relax and enjoy some free time (like, go out and hike -it's autumn 🍂🍄🍁 )!
