i don't know if its just me, but my game keeps crashing for seemingly no reason? it just shuts down, no pop ups, no "its not responding" thingy's, just shuts down suddenly. i downloaded the right version, and i can play it without any other issues. i uninstalled it and reinstalled it to see if that helped it, and it did till i finished that day, and then part way through the next it crashes again! i just got it and i really wanna play all the way though it but its getting sooo annoying, if its just something with this version or something i can easily fix i'd love to know!

there's a BUNCH of bugs still... like on day 5 it was nothing but a black screen the whole time and I had to restart and even REDOWNLOAD the game for it to finally work again. another bug I keep facing is when you're making soup to drug him and he surprises you from behind it just cuts to a black screen and you cant do anything. I've restarted, AND redownloaded the game at least twice just for this bug and it hasn't gone away. I'm unable to continue the game and idk how to fix this. this game seriously needs worked on... please fix it. =_='

Eh, think you're making things a little black and white. There are a lot of serial killer types who reportedly LOVED animals. Sure, some murderers start with animals, but some don't. To me it adds something scary. Some people will say "aww, he loves animals, how cute!" But what I see is someone who sees people as less than. I think the mentality sometimes is "animals are pure because they don't lie, they are what they are. People pretend, and therefore are dirty, evil lying monsters." Killers are still people, and no two will always be the same. He likes animals, and not people, makes sense to me.

OK I debated strongly on whether or not I wanted to say this. I originally just wasn't. But I'm going to go ahead and say it. This is a full blown TLDR. Warning it's going to ruffle a lot of people's feathers and upset them for personal reasons. With that said. I would recommend just scrolling pass if you don't have the patience to read this long ass post. And this post would probably be maybe more identifiable to people who are truly dark. Or consume dark stuff, media/ and have a higher level tolerance to dark images, dark stories, ect. To various degrees. But looking at the character and going through the route of finding more about him. I'm sorry there is some key stuff in here that is strongly off-putting for me. And not in the natural way that the character is SUPPOSED to. This thing with trying to vanillify the character by having him avoid anything negative with animals does not make any sense whatsoever. It's not sweet or cute like yn says. it's cheesy, cringy, and unrealistic. I am personally tired of seeing this everywhere. It seems like there is an aspect of the sub that wants to so badly vanillify him with personal morals. And it seems to be actually working, and for me it's actually genuinely starting to ruin my enjoyment of the game, the Duality dark nature of the character. Boyfriend is a predator, in multiple ways than one. Yes he has a firm duality. But he is still a predator nonetheless. We all know this. It makes no sense that his favorite class would be biology. And he likes the whole idea of how internal mechanisms work. But hates when it's an animal that's already dead and he has to cut into it???? . IT'S BIOLOGY Class. Biology class focuses primarily on plants and animals. I would think we've all taken it at this point. If there's any subject that knows why death is necessary in the concept of it. It's BIOLOGY. We know boyfriends morbid things of chopping people up is what the game is hinting at. Which means his favorite class should not be biology but HEALTH CLASS. Health class is the focus of the human body an the biology of how it operates. So that's the first thing that doesn't make sense. Second, the character has made it pretty clear of his acceptance in the reality of death. Trying to take that away for the sake of " except animals" is not doing any justice at all, and for me it's making a dark game circum to the "Disney's view of animal planet" . I'm actually surprised and somewhat disappointed that this made its way into a sub in franchise as dark as this one. Especially over the fact that the Creator herself straight up dislikes good endings all together ( I'm personally not against them.) This guy literally used a metaphor about the harsh reality of life. The Fox and the rabbit. To the rabbit, the fox goes too far when he hunts him. Why?? Because the rabbit will obviously DIE. HIS OWN Words. He is implying right there that he would identify with the fox, a predator( keep in mind again, his favorite class in school is supposed to be biology) who HUNGERS and preys on the rabbit. In Reality everybody dies, animals die every second of the day just like people. Animals kill each other, animals kill people, people kill animals. Death does not care what you are. The idea that animals never should die, is purely made up by people. He is literally sustaining and feeding his pet snake with dead frozen mice that were bred on a feeder mice farm, and killed for people who have reptiles as pets. It's an industry in and of itself. Otherwise. He would have to have the mice himself, and leave rat to do the natural order of things. And he would have to sit there and watch a mice get squeezed to death, while squealing and screaming for it's life, and swallowed whole by a snake. Does that make the snake evil? NO. But Suddenly again, he has an issue with animals being in pain and dying.?? It's NATURE. Go back to a few years on this sub. When Fuboo posted a script teaser for day 4. When we were stuck on day three. Where yn had the interest of a box that was underneath his bed. In his own words, whether you want to believe him or not. He said it was what? Dead animal BONES. He enjoyed collecting them and had a morbid fascination with it. fuboo asked us what we really thought was in there. But it seems like now that was taken away for the sake of "he can't cut into a frog corpse because it's an animal. He has to love animals but hate people. ". This is straight up pussyfying him ( I'm so sorry for that explanation). I mean, we would never, ever understand how animals operate on the inside if we never cut them open to begin with?? . All the stuff that's in biology would be scarce. But again, his favorite class is biology. But he himself should be able to grasp this simple fact. In other words, you're making him dislike something that he clearly likes. This to me shows what he possibly could have been. But the sub deemed it necessary for him, to be watered down for everyone's secret personal morals, where animals aren't allowed to die. Which ironically, boyfriend himself says he does not operate by people's morals in the script. But now he... Does??? 🤦‍♀️. There's a reason why I personally joke with him being the Grim reaper. And death himself. If anyone could understand the concept of death, the dark reality of it, and even why it's necessary. It would be his Twisted ass. But this seems to now be back tracking, in a attempt to water him down to make him more palatable for people. In a way that does not feel Canon originally. Nor does it make sense. This cute " loving animals" quirk keeps finding a way to Slither itself into themes all the time time. A lot of stories and movies would suck If people started doing this with everything. Imagine if you weren't allowed to see animals die, or no one was allowed to kill animals in a story. Imagine if we had to undo any story, show, book, movie, or game that involved an animal in a negative light. Because animals good > people bad. It's simply NOT REALISTIC. I personally can't take a dark story seriously with themes like these. That would also imply you can't create a story where a animal is the villain( puella magi, Madoka magical if anyone knows. That fluffy little cute asshole ). And I know what somebody might say. "That the fans aren't feeling this way when it comes to this game.". I have seen quite a few personally in this sub. Who has stated as such. "They don't want to see animals die" . "They don't want the Creator to kill off any animals in this game" . "They don't want to see any animals get hurt in this game" . And they sure as hell "don't want to see boyfriend ever kill an animal", or " Make him kill people who kill animals" .And now the creator is incorporating it into the character, and back tracking from her original plan. 🤦‍♀️ So that now begs the question. Boyfriend really wouldn't do anything for yn. Because the question would pop up. Would he kill and sacrifice rat, for the sake of yn? . The sub and Fuboo would say no because it's an animal, he'll only kill people. Meaning boyfriend's hatred of his digital reality is nullified by a digital fake snake, for the sake of the good animal rule, and for the rule that animals are not allowed to be killed nor sacrifice in any way shape or form. Only loved. I can't take that seriously as an actual dark franchise. I really can't with this mentality. This is my honest critique. Any other place on the internet that has dark themes. Does not Shield people's eyes from a dead dog. A dead dog is MINOR in comparison to some other visuals. This is why I said this might relate to people who are more regularly into that type of stuff. All the dark things that people have seen in franchises. Imagine all of that getting thrown out the window because of a dead dog. YB's "Softer side" should have been somewhere else. Not animals. Like people have said in real life. Spend 5 hours watching animal planet, of animals killing each other in the African Savanna. Listen to the cries of a impala getting it's leg torn off by a lion, or a baby antelope being eaten, still alive with its guts laid out on the ground. Picture the first person view PAIN of that baby animal . Imagine your guts being eaten alive. If someone thinks this is cruel as a way of analogy. Just remember, boyfriend uses these dark gruesome analogies multiple times himself. He has explained things in metaphors that are very foul and offensive. And ngl, I love it. Which is why I am making the argument, what is done to the character makes absolutely no sense, and hurts the darker version of him. Not compliment the whiter, so called "gooder" side of his heart. Somewhere in another universe, we could have had a boyfriend with a collection of animal bones. But the no dead animal rule seems to have won. The sub is being set up to see boyfriend gouge his eye out, get his limbs chopped off, and his teeth ripped out. But God help us if an ANIMAL DIES??. He's made for you. Except if it's a animal. Then fuck you too I guess 🤷‍♀️. But remember he's also miserable and alone and is afraid you'll leave him, even with the pixel animal. I needed to vent this one out because I've been seeing this growing direction for a while now. And I don't just mean with this game. Other places too. Back when we first started running through day 4, and on the route when you reject rat, yn says " WHATS AN ANIMAL FEELINGS COMPARED TO MINE!?". Or something on the lines of that, and boooooiiii did I cringe at that script line. I hoped yb wouldn't start devolving down that animal route. But this update triggered it for me. The game franchise is already a bit too censored for my liking anyway( I. E ybs torso constantly being stretched and extra 10 in when he's naked so you don't ever see his dick. It was funny at first. But it's starting to get annoying ) . So in one aspect, I have come to terms that maybe I'm just too dark for this sub??? , and maybe it's just a me thing. Maybe it doesn't fit my peculiar taste. It's 100% possible I just saw something and interpreted something that just wasn't there.🤷‍♀️.To be fair and objective against myself. Maybe the creator's intent with her character was never really about his hatred of people, his hatred for his creator, or his reality, or even wanting you. But just being a funny edgelord hating humanity and loving animals, and you're the second option. Maybe she always wanted to go that route. I guess that's ultimately something only the Creator herself knows. But personally, it's hard for me to take boyfriend seriously with that now. Again truly sorry for the essay.

After drugging the soup with sleeping pills and YB grabs you, the game bugs out and I'm stuck on a black screen. Will add if I find more bugs, love the game so far tho :) I've also noticed if you load in on an old save, the Option/fast forward button in the top-right corner disappears.

Please accept my apology if I caused confusion. Perhaps it's because the loading is off on our previous choices since sometimes it happens even when I load into a romance save. The closet thing I did in the romance one if Peter is actually awake beside you. How I did it is still remain positive though out D1-3, 'Even Must've been a Nightmare' and don't flip out when in his Van. When you wake up on D4 click '...' I did the 'Aggressive Moan', 'Alright Lets do this!' 'Feed Snake' Don't make a meal for yourself and Peter, Watch the video, when he ask when you want Dessert or a Bath, let the timer go out and when he shows up with his bloody body, tend to his wounds. He should wake up beside you and ether choice should be fine but I choose 'That's Sweet' and he will make breakfast. I selected 'That's Sweet of you', '...', 'It's Great' and it ends up with us puking the food out.

Guess I haven't seen anyone talk about this yet as far as I've looked, but there's a problem with the save, where for some reason, the 'save screen' doesn't show up to actually save the progress. The first time it was working fine, but now it doesn't, (to save at least, cuz I didn't had time to test loading it, game crashed) Then after that, speaking of load, I saved one time in the transition from day 3 to day 4, but since it crashed, my save was deleted and are no longer there, the problem of the save also started after the crash.

Hooooly hell I haven't checked out the updates for a while (kinda forgot to check regularly lol), and omg the title theme sounds SO HAUNTING and WISPY I love it!!! Last time I played, Day 4 was barely out, so I'm in for a treat now! Apparently quite a bit of dialogue and music has changed since I last played, WOW! I love to see the game thriving, evolving, and how big the community has gotten!! I remember when I first saw the Day 1 demo as a playthrough by ManlyBadassHero and was instantly hooked. It's been a while now... I've started and completed an apprenticeship since that day and have been in a new job for a little over a while now. We've all come a long way...

Okay, let's try this. Be nice to him when you are on the romance route. It doesn't seem to matter whether you're nice to your friends or not, but I normally remain positive, and when we're at his house I selected the '...' and kiss him, that makes him feel kinky with you. Even during D4, I continue to be nice to him, feed him, feed Rat, and watch the video with him. When it comes to the 3 options I pick dessert, and when he brings you out, tell him that you do love him. That should open with Peter sleeping beside you. If he is, choose the Get up as it will lead you to bake pancakes for him and accidentally triggering his allergy. This will make you feel bad for what almost happened that you ended up giving him a 'gift' for being so forgiving.

I got mine during the romance route. You be nice to him and give him positive feedback and select the dessert and tell him you love him. Next day he is sleeping with you and you choose to stay in bed and it goes to him cooking breakfast for you.

I think the load fuction didn't work properly. I saved my day 4 at the end of the day with kindness route and the dessert ending. Normally it would lead to day 5 that Peter sleeping with us on the bed but when I load day 4 from the title screen > hit " Continue " > it lead to delusional route where Peter wearing black shirt sitting at the bed ! I think that it not some how link with the choice in day 4

Nah it's okay I get you ^^ And sorry if this is long, thought I had to get it off my chest >.< He deserves to suffer, because even though he was created to love the player, even though the purpose of his character is to win Y/N's heart, even though that he's aware that he's in a game and that the characters are just ''characters'' (Peter is a character too, so why should he be excluded, but not the others?) that can be revived by restarting the game, despite everything, you forget the very important thing that Peter is an aggressive, hostile and deranged individual who finds joy in killing people as much as he's proud to commit murder and act like as if it was a part of the human nature (after playing the updated version of Day 5). Even if he knew the characters will come back to life by just resetting, the fact that he finds joy in killing, the way he describes how he intentionally murdered his victims (either Don, Lucy, TK or Ron Williams-(Don's son), he doesn't seem or sound remorseful, more proud as he explains how funny it looked when his victims were screaming and crying and how he killed them in details with a smirk on his face, then proceeds to say that he never wanted this to happen and victim-blame us by saying ''yOu LefT mE nO cHoiCe''. He said it himself, it wasn't his first time... Why would he hurt people who never did Y/N wrong? Because he can, and you can't make peace with him from killing any more people, even after he wins the player's heart, he will continue to kill as well as he finds joy in it. Plus, regardless if he doesn't want to hurt Y/N, he does by cutting their leg off to prevent them from escaping. I'm not talking about the route when Y/N was caught in the beartraps, I'm talking about the escape route when you fail to crash his van and he ends up stabbing your leg and eventually amputates you. Peter manipulates, gaslights, lies, stalks, drugs, SA's, kidnaps, controls and even cuts Y/N's flesh when confronting him: Everything Peter does is abuse, not love, and when you love someone, you trust them with all your fiber being. If there's no trust, there's nothing. Peter doesn't even trust Y/N for as much as opening a single window... When you love someone, you treat them like a human being, not an accessory. If he can do all of that and find joy in murdering innocent people who never done him or Y/N wrong, what else is he capable of when him and Y/N are alone, despite Day 4-5 that we've seen already? What if his exes are his past victims? (I kept that in mind after playing Day 5 ;-;)... You're asking the question of whether or not Peter deserves to be blamed for everything he's done vs the creator that scripted Peter to be this way, that's when we go back to what I said earlier, no matter how rough you've had it in your past, that does not excuse you to treat other people unfairly... or actually beyond that. Yes, the creator wrote him this way and the creator is at fault for creating him as that, but Peter over escalates it all and puts everyone in harms way, because he's a sick mental individual, and changing him for the better isn't enough, not anymore... Although your story may not have such a happy beginning, doesn’t make you who you are. It is the rest of your story that defines you as a person, and as far as I'm concerned, Peter continues his story as a deranged sick lunatic freak who kills people for fun... There's no saving for this man.

Please don't take this as me disagreeing with you. I very much do agree with you on this, and I more just want to pick your brain since we're sort of analyzing Peter as a character study. My question is: does he still deserve the suffering he goes through if he is aware that he is in a video game? He knows the characters around him are just that; characters. He knows they're not real and that they will come back so long as the player resets the game. I might be wrong on this, but I don't believe anyone but Peter and obviously the player themselves remember his horrible actions. I believe he is so willing to hurt Y/N physically in certain routes because Y/N isn't actually the player. His true love is the player and he understands that Y/N is just the vessel they control. He craves the player's love and attention. It's what he was created for. Without it, his life quite literally has no purpose. He knows if he does something to Y/N that threatens them or severely handicaps them, the game will give the player limited actions, making it more likely that the player will have to stay with him and give him the attention he craves instead of giving it to other characters that are, to him, obstacles that are just rehearsing script in a game. Don't get me wrong. Peter is still a deeply disturbed, toxic man. He needs help and I still don't believe he is capable of maintaining a healthy relationship with the player, even in the best of circumstances. I'm more just curious if he deserves to suffer at the hands of the player when he was designed to love them to this obsessive degree. How much of this is Peter's fault versus the fault of the people who created him, and does Peter still deserve to suffer for it? (For the record, in case it isn't obvious, I know Peter is also just a character and code in a game reciting script. This is all in-game lore I'm speaking on.)

Even if you wanted to ''save'' Peter, whatever he's been through does not excuse his actions, nor is it any way acceptable and morally right in society. Regardless what you've been through in the past should not justify, nor excuse the way you unfairly treat other people. Even if he was saved, he still needs to serve his time in jail and/or locked up in the asylum for examination, hypothetically speaking. Even though it feels that way, you're not a monster for treating him bad, specifically Peter we're talking about. Sure you feel bad about it, because you know that you're not the type of person to hurt others' feelings like this, especially intentionally. I feel really bad too when I treat him very horrible or when he suffers, even though I shouldn't, but I still do, despite knowing everything he's done. IMO, he deserves every pain and agony inflicted on him after what he's done to Y/N, the victims he murdered and the pain and grief their victims' families have to endure for the rest of their lives. There is no excuse for people like him.

I think I may have figured it out. I don't know if it's because I choose to not kick Lucy out or what, but the choice to play it off or be mad at Peter showed up this time. Part of me wonders if you're clicking through it picks whatever option is closest to what side of the text box you're on (and I typically have my mouse on the left side to avoid accidental clicks on choices) so it picked confront without me realizing. But still. Kinda weird.

Basically you place your mouse in the blue line (box- ish) in the middle of the meter use your mouse to follow along as it moves, follow its direction over and over until you are able to grab the keys. Sorry if that was complicated to understand, or else let me know so I can explain it better.

SPOILERS: Just wanted to share my thoughts on the new additions to the "positive" routes. I have so many mixed feelings right now (in a good way) because I'm fighting myself mentally with the love I feel for Peter and the desire to "save" him, knowing he's a tragic character who is forced to be in horrible circumstances outside of his control, while also coming to terms with the fact that he can't really be "saved" and despite the tragedy of his character, is still a dangerous villain who more than likely will never be able to maintain a healthy relationship with anyone. I find it really interesting how easily annoyed he becomes with us if we are anything but completely loving and fight him on his twisted sense of reality, and it makes complete sense, considering the fact that most people with his type of mental illnesses will absolutely not accept the fact that they or the fantasy they are living in is wrong. The fact that he doesn't trust us enough to even leave a window open without making us prove ourselves, at least in the route where we love him but don't entirely accept him, is very telling of just how insecure he is, which to me is both tragic and sickening and is evidence of how abusive he might become in the future. I haven't tried the option where (I assume) you fail his test by telling the cop you need help, but I did go with the option of awkwardly telling her "hi" and that you need to know where the nearest reststop is. When Peter praises us and our character responds by saying something along the lines of "I've never felt so loved in my life" or something to that effect, I genuinely felt sick to my stomach. I adore Peter, but that interaction reminded me so much of my past irl abuser and how I would often find myself doing or saying things I normally wouldn't just to get his praise and make him happy, mostly out of fear that he would do something to hurt me or someone else, while still feeling like he would love me more than anyone ever possibly could. Peter has always obviously been very manipulative, but these new additions made me really realize that no matter what, no matter how much we love him, or try to "fix" him, we are still very much his victim. The exception might be the route where you're abusive to him, but I wouldn't know, I can't even tell him I hate his roses without feeling like a monster, let alone do all the other fucked up shit you can do to him in that route lol.

It seems like the old saying goes, 'Never bring a knife to a gunfight'. Peter may be skilled at stealth and killing, but the reality is that Peter was in a vulnerable spot here in the daytime in the opening with a gun at his face while his hands were up. I think he was reaching for his knife, but since we didn't honk to cause a distraction for Peter to strike or run her over so she would've shot him for defense. My guess is the cop was inexperienced, and she witnessed Peter committing the murder from the video camera Don mentioned so she reacted erratically when she realized she was in front of a cold blooded murderer and assumed we were his accomplice. I agree that it seemed rushed, but this game is still being developed. They'll probably remove and add new choices since they seem to remove some moments they had in the previous built. D5 could be bigger than previous days because it could have more interactions, complications and situations that if you don't decide carefully could end up killing you, Peter, or both.

Yeah, I found it during the romance route after you give Peter the BJ the cop pulled us over after, select the middle option when she pulled Peter out to talk, when she pulled the gun at him it gives you the option to honk or drive, but you chose neither and let the timer run out, it results in both of you getting shot and it ends with the subtitles telling us we could've done something. In this case, I assume it counts as a Game Over.

The x64 version is the x64 one, the title on the file says otherwise (x86). I discovered it when I was trying to download the game and got confused when the titles were mixed together.

the choices you need to make are: what no, you've been watching me, act casual, don't call the cops, keep lying, ... (don), ... Actually, i used the current bug for that route. I choose all the nice options and then i saved my day4 progress before moving on to day5. Then, load the day4 progress u saved before, it will load a different route, which is peter in black pjs watching u on day5 instead of him sleeping besides us naked

I feel kinda sad tho when Peter doesn't really wanna chat with us during the ride (in the route where he sat beside the bed wearing black pjs on day 5), he avoided most questions with one or two words only, then the conversation just dies down. Does he really not want to talk about himself? I know that he kinda hates himself but imo it's a bit OOC because at one time when he kidnapped us, he tried to talk to us about his family, and try to relate to us having similar family problem. So I thought he wouldnt mind chatting about those sensitive and personal matters. I would really love to happily chat away and gets info dumped by him. Although most of them are about the lore that the creator has already mentioned outside the game. Was he mad? Or just wanna focus on driving? Or he just doesn't feel like it? Might be overthinking it but I wanna know this dimension of his character. Like does this characterize him as nonchalant? Yes he is, but usually not when interacting with us. Xd

I have a good idea i think, we could make an option in the route when we are in relationship with him and he got into an argument with Mr. Williams (saying to us that Peter cannot move in), when we are in the van with him and when he says his truth about being a stalker that we can have "jump out of the van", " o-okay" and I thought about adding "cry" because as we said that we are now overwhelmed with all of it so when he told the truth we just couldn't take it anymore and started to cry!

I have played it. The previous issue with the previous version, i.e, mostly in dialogue mode, still exists. BUT. I have zero issue saving day after day. And HOLY CRAP about Day 5. I chose the 'lover' path, oh wow. I LOVE day 5 extra scenes. Thank you for reminding us about Peter's true nature. Dang. That was a GOOD continuation.

Make sure you've downloaded the new version they just put out. At the end of a day when you can push continue. You can choose to save first. The save symbol kinda looks like a Cheezit to me.

The load button gave me a weird bug. I saved each day till day 5. I wanted to try different options for that day. But when I went to reload it, it put me on the scenario for a different out come. So I saved the end of day 4 for the completely positive route. But when I reload it, it was on a nice route but one I haven't even done yet. And that's the one it stays.

Im having some problems during the overwrite portion of the game. When I overwrite the file, it keeps the old data, text descriptions, for items. Also sometimes the fast forward button is freezing and skipping through all the text for the whole day!

Even though I'm happy Save and Load is added, when I took the romantic route on Day 5 I woke up with him sleeping beside me, but when I load it comes up with him sitting by the bed instead of in bed. In other words, it seems to load into a different route than what you originally saved it to. Regardless, LOVE THE NEW UPDATE!

you gotta reverse the decryption keys. Use the Win 64 Decrypt key with the Win 86 link and Win 86 Decrypt key with the Win 64 link
