Jin's depression following the success of Dynamite led him to write Abyss. When they released Be, JK interviewed Jin, which was a month before Jin released Abyss, and it was obvious he was still depressed - Jin said he didn't have an appetite, stopped playing video games, and he just slept all day. The interview was dropped a month before Abyss was released, but there was so much kindness and support from JK, and Jin trying to entertain and make JK laugh even though he wasn't feeling great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sxUG8O6M2w It starts around 9:06. Normally I learn just as I listen and after a hundred times or so I can sing along-ish. But Abyss, I needed to be able to sing along with immediately. It's just so beautiful.
