A Top 5 Dennis rant.

#sundayrundown Dee and Charlie, oh my word, they made out, rat and bird "you a man cheetah?" "yeah" I love how casual that was "BEAK!!" I love how Charlie instantly cracks from even the slightest pressure of acting normal. The Gang Desperately Tries to Win an Award is about the show trying to be like the other shows and failing and The Gang Misses the Boat is about the show trying to stray from it's formula but realizing that what it does best is itself. I can literally imagine Frank sitting across from Charlie going "no Chawly, you gotta eat the beak first!" I believe the episode did a great job of showcasing the redeemable aspects of Charlie and Dee. Out of all the characters, these two have the best shot at real happiness. Charlie, despite his manipulative moments—like when he lied about having cancer just to score a date—embodies the idea that ignorance can sometimes be bliss. His simple, singular goals make his occasional experimentation with change really resonate. Meanwhile, Dee comes off as a product of her environment, constantly seeking approval and getting tangled in her own insecurities. This episode hints at what might happen if she finally lets her guard down. For me, the contrast between Charlie and Dee’s innocence and the inherent corruption of the other characters really stood out. While Frank, Dennis, and Mac are mired in self-destructive behavior, narcissism, and self-delusion, Charlie and Dee bring a freshness to the show that grounds it. Sure, my thoughts might come off as a bit philosophical, but I appreciate how the show lets the audience draw their own interpretations. In short, I think the characters gel together really well, making this one of the best episodes overall.

#Sunday Rundown Please Please Please watch this clip of the Sunny crew on Conan. They talked about the awkwardness of filming the Charlie and Dee love scene given their relationships to eachother and it is well worth the watch. The chemistry between the cast is so apparent https://youtu.be/pEEtVEoxneg?si=jGXo8cSCnmTRqu0C

Pat being grossed out by the alcohol worms and saying he couldn't be able to hang out with the crew then IMMEDIATELY agreeing with Dennis to drive the car into the water to catch the boat is so fitting for who Pat is

This is Rob, Glenn (Dennis), and Charlie admitting they have taken these characters as far as they can (while following the original format/archetypes they started the show with). The next few seasons are waaaaay more avant-garde and outside the box. Which allows them to focus more on their creativity and show off their filmmaking ability. Some of my favorite episodes are still a few seasons away! What started as a show about 4 friends owning a bar… turns in to a show where they are almost never in the bar… but it still manages to be “the same show.” Side Note: Wish you guys would react to the bloopers. They are funnier than the final cuts a lot of the time. The actors are also the writers; so the show is basically just them improvising the outlines of scenes they wrote for themselves. It’s comedic gold. The fact the main actors have complete creative control of the show is what makes it so amazing. It’s why they have continued to adapt and stay relevant for the last 20 years on the air. When so many other sitcoms become stale, predictable, repetitive, and boring after ten seasons on the air. Cant wait for Season 17 to drop!
