They'll probably get more comments clarifying it in the next few episodes since they have already filmed a few episodes ahead.

If that were the case, magic would look a whole lot different, because anyone would do it. It is basically like a normal person, who is 20+ years old, being able to fully 100% convince themselves that fire isn't really hot, despite what reality has proven 100 times throughout their life, just because their grandmother once told them it wasn't. It is impossible to do... yet Übel does it.

Its explained that anyone can of course visualize cutting through cloth or hair, but Ubel is on a whole different level she knows 100% that it is cloth and so she can cut it magic smagic she doesn't care its not relevant its cloth so it can be cut, essentially she denies reality and substitutes her own.

The stop gap from this in real life, at least in the US, would most likely be from the legal framework around rare brain disorders like dissociative identity disorder. Severance technology creates another distinct personality and the legal system would probably rule, like they have irl cases, the technology creates another unique identity. If that's the case, it would violate a lot of provisions and amendments to the US Constitution including the 13th that banned slavery and the 8th which is a guard against cruel and unusual punishment.

Also I was never in the military, but my cousin served on an Aircraft Carrier, and he told me about a PBS documentary about US Aircraft Carriers, so that's how I know about that stuff, plus way too much time on wikipedia.

I'm pretty sure it's because they feel that reading subtitles makes it so they are more focused on reading the words than watching what the characters are doing. That and they feel that they spend more time reading than reacting.

Since there's too many comments, I think having a livestream will be great so you can read them. Letting you discuss things you may not know about, and giving out your own theories. There's so much to talk about when it comes to the soundtrack alone.
