Sketch Exploration: Self Love Symmetry

Way back when, right after I finished Citrus Shenanigans and was coming up with other projects, I came up with the idea for an animation about a guy finding a magic mirror that let him meet himself-and the gimmick was that I would draw it using photoshop's symmetry tool to go along with the theme of mirrors and copies (while also experimenting with lessening my work load).

And this is me exploring that idea all these years later! I actually had a ton of fun doing this, and it really let me loosen up after focusing on doing really clean line/color stuff on the Personal Trainer animation. It started out as an experiment but I'm definitely thinking about keeping it going, because I have a few more fun ideas for this and it was just a really nice exercise.

I'm considering making one more WIP post for the Personal Trainer animation because I've completed 2 more shots this month, but posting colored versions of stuff I've shown off the linework for almost feels redundant sometimes? And I don't want to spam you all with stuff you've technically seen already. We'll see, I guess. Things are going well though, I've got just one more shot to finish animating and a couple more comic panels to draw! Aiming to finish up that animation next month.
