Chapter 17 Be like water

Godo sighed and felt a headache was coming.

“What is the meaning of this Godo! We can't let the outsiders inside our village like this. Do you still remember the teachings of our ancestors!”

One of the elders said to him with great contempt. He was the opposition to him in politics.

Godo looked at the elder before answering.

“I remembered, But the lives of our people matter more. Do you think the teachings of the ancestors just taught us not to let outsiders in? You are just using our ancestors as an excuse to make the matter more complicated. The ancestors taught us to take care of our people and be better. Be like water!”

The elder who wanted to defame Godo grit his teeth. That’s right he just wanted to make the matter become more complicated so that he could get the position he wanted.

Godo just counter attacked him with a caring people card. and it was super effective because many people now looked at him with displeasure.

The people who didn’t like him were those who got their family members or friends back. If Godo didn’t go and negotiate with them. They might not get them back.

And there might be someone who didn’t feel the same, those were people whose family members and friends were killed. but they understood because they were ninjas. Death comes with the job.

The elder couldn’t stop now that he already started.

“So what do you want to do with them? Are you going to let them leech off our food? We don’t have much food to feed them!”

The elder tried to use the shortage of food as an excuse now.

Godo heard that, and he laughed out loud. It seems like he didn’t keep up with the information very well.

He just came here and wanted to defame him by the little thing he knew. That’s why he didn’t get the position he wanted.

He’s way too stupid.

“You want to play with that? Do you know half of the food in our storage right now comes from them and you have a face to talk about food when it is your responsibility. The crops are very bad this year. If it weren’t for them sharing their food with us. We might not survive the winter.”

“You lied! They are only few people how could they-”

“Mastered Space Materia.”

Godo sighed.

“Can you stop trying to find fault with me? We are at war with Shinra right now. or Do you want to make a mess with me so that the Shinra would win this war?”

Godo tone was sharp. He would kill the elder right now if he spoke nonsense or did anything that made him angry again.

He had the authority to kill people that he deem to be a spy from Shinra.

And he leaned towards him being one.

The elder’s face went pale. He knew that he had stepped on a landmine right now. If his answer wasn’t convincing enough. He might be charged as a suspect for being a spy.

Even though he will not be killed. but he would live his life in shame.

And his face matters to him the most.

And as he was to say something stupid again. Someone came up and spoke to Godo.

“Okay, Tell them to wait for me I’ll be there in a minute”

“Yes,sir”

Godo then looked at the elder. He didn’t want to hear him speak anymore.

“Send him and his people to jail. Waiting for investigation”

“You can’t do that to me! I am from royal blood. If you touch me you will be executed!”

“Whatever.”

Godo just stood up and went to the guest room. He didn’t care about him being of royal blood or not. If he was proven to be a traitor. His life was forfeited.

‘Why are there so many idiot in my village *sigh* I miss my wife and my beloved daughter.’

Godo went to the guest room and he was shocked.

“Yuffie, what are you doing with the guest!”

Yuffie was now sitting in Jaune's lap while drinking cola and watching cartoons from his scroll.

It looked like Yuffie had now become one with the group. She took the teachings of their ancestors to heart. Be like water.


Yuffie smiled at her father and said.

“Otou-chan, Juane onii-chan and every onee-chan are very good to me. They even give me this yummy water and snack hehe!”

Yuffie showed him coca-cola and snacks that Jaune and everyone in his group gave to her. She was too cute to just let her be.

Ruby even gave her the chocolate cookie she never shared to anyone except Jaune.

That’s how cute she was. To have the cutest girl in the group admit defeat.

Godo was in a dilemma. He looked at Jaune and when he found that Jaune didn’t have any malicious intent toward his daughter he felt relief. Someone now knew who was the cutest in this village.

He was very proud of his daughter.

“Yuffie you can go now. I have something to discuss with the guests.”

“Oh don’t worry about it Godo-dono, She already knew everything.”

“Ugh”

Was this some kind of a threat? He was mistaken that Jaune didn't have any ill intent toward his daughter. He wanted to take his daughter as hostage like those noble do in the past.

He could only grit his teeth.

“S-She is just ten years old, Please reconsider it!”

Jaune, hearing Godo shout, couldn't help but speak out in confusion.

“W-What do you mean!”

Jaune wasn’t sure what he was talking about. But he felt like it was a misunderstanding.

Ifalna and everyone in his group laughed at him when they saw how confused he was. They thought that he was cute.

“Godo-dono. I think Jaune didn't mean anything like that. He just wants to tell you that there is no need for little Yuffie to go out because she already knows everything about our plan and will never tell anyone. And even if she told someone it would be useless.”

Ifalna said to clear the misunderstanding.

Godo sighed in relief when he heard the explanation. He knew some pedo who liked to have a young girl as their wife. He looked at Jaune again and felt stupid.

He didn’t look like those pedos at all. No, He looked more innocent even than his daughter!

‘Someone like him almost killed me but I can’t blame him for that…’

“My apologies to Jaune-dono. I thought that you might be interested in taking my daughter as your wife or concubine.”

Godo then looked at his women. They were too varied to be honest.

Yuffie when she heard what Godo said. She then stood up from Jaune’s lap then looked at Jaune intensely. And then she nodded with satisfaction on her cute little face.

“Um, I don’t mind Otou-chan. If it is Jaune onii-chan then I am willing to be his concubine!”

“What!”

Jaune was shocked at what Yuffie had said. She wanted to be his concubine? He never thought she would have a thought like that.

“What are you spitting about, Yuffie? I will let your mother punish you today!”

“But Otou-chan and Okaa-chan always talked to each other about finding me a husband when I grew up. I want Jaune Onii-chan to be my husband!”

With that said, She would never go back on her words because it was her Nindo!

She would be able to eat snacks and drink cola forever! And he would alway play with her. And his women were good to her too. So she didn’t only get to drink and eat but played with the Onee-chans to her heart's content!

Kill many birds with one stone!

Godo’s jaw fell to the floor. He then looked at Jaune with murderous intent!

“What did you do to my dear daughter!”

Godo will fight to the death with Jaune, If it wasn’t for Ifalna and his wife who came to check on him and her daughter stopped him in time.

Jaune was feeling helpless right now.

Ruby tried to cheer him up while the others discussed the plan with Godo.

Kasumi Kisaraki or Yuffie’s mother was now talking to her daughter about the birds and the bees. She was at the age that was curious about these things. Women always mature faster than men.

And she will have to talk to her about the boy she had an obvious crush on too. First love would always be the worst experience or greatest experience. She hoped it wouldn’t be too much for her daughter.

“I need to talk to the young man too.”
