It's not "insane" because FMAB is one of the most popular anime of all time, Yu Yu Hakusho is extremely niche, and One Piece has a f ton of episodes that nobody wants to get into because of the number of episodes. It's mindboggling people have a hard time comprehending why FMAB is a popular anime series. It's the DBZ of the modern era. You may hate that it's in the same category of cultural significance in the West as DBZ it but this is the series that introduced A LOT of people to the anime genre. Old Anime heads need to accept FMAB as one of the best anime of all time...... period.

Ichigo's revival was White's (hollow Ichigo) promise to take his body and soul from him if he were to ever die again coming to fruition. It has nothing really to do with the unfinished business...although a very good guess. But He shattered himself from his soul chain that would turn him into a hollow to fully realise his soul reaper abilities early on in the very first season before he went to Soul Society for the first time.

You're a bit off on Ulquiorra. He's never tried to make any one better. He's always tried to break them because he is so hyper rational/analytical and cannot understand people taking actions if there's no logical path to survival and they don't just give up. He doesn't understand the concept of the "heart" so thought processes like something being more important than one's own life are way beyond him. This is also why he is actually surprised by Orihime's actions because he thinks the obvious path to survival for her is to obey Aizen and thus legit expects her to think like that.

#Sunday Rundown So unfortunately there isn't much trivia or fun facts for this episode, just some interesting censorship. When Ulquiorra broke Uryu's arm, in the manga he just cut it off so Uryu is one handed for the rest of the encounter. That also means that when Ichigo cut of Ulquiorra's arm it was sort of revenge for Uryu. The second bit of censorship is that when Ichigo threw that big rock at Ulquiorra in the manga he actually just threw Ulquiorra's arm, which to me is just one of the funniest images in the world. So that's all for these two episodes, however the next set of episodes has some of the most interesting stuff i've been able to share period. Look forward to it.

Not true at all Queef Burglar Bleach some of the most complex writing, themes and nuances. “The heart” for example is a theme that is nuanced for many different characters, kaien, Ulquiorra, Orihime and even Ginjo Kubo intended it that way for one to interpret “the heart” in their own way.

While I'm still *very* much against the idea of pulling series out of their "already reacted to" grave, I think they dodged a massive bullet by not reacting to One Piece. That would've been their biggest commitment yet. The manga ain't ending soon. The anime ain't ending soon. And, realistically, them dropping the series after starting it would've generated a massive amount of backlash. You don't mess with the Church of G-Oda. Scary bunch.

The manga chapters are named after the 7 deadly sins. Basically they're about Ulquiorra showing emotions that he didn't show before and believe in, emotions he can't "see" but learned from Orihime and Ichigo. Every single dialogue with them was important to his character arc.

Ulquiorra's theme is nihilism and emptiness. He's very curious about humans but he still wants to prove himself right, that nihilism and emptiness are the way. That's why he wants to break ichigo's will and make him feel despair, because otherwise his life philosophy would make no sense. He only believes what he can see, and purpose is not something he can see.

Part of Ulqioura's motif is despair. When he talks like he does its because he wants his opponents to understand and feel despair.

You can think of Ulqi as machine and Ichigo as human, and Ulqi is curious about what makes a human a human. He learns that it is "Heart" but doesn't truly understand that and finds it stupid even. He was trying to understand why ichigo kept fighting despite being outclassed so much, why he wouldn't let go of his sword. He even went to second stage release to break ichigo and his resolve before killing him. Yet in the end we see ichigo become "Machine" and ulqi more human and understanding if ever so slightly. Pretty cool stuff

I stand by what I said when the Grimmjow vs Ichigo fight isn't the best one. That's because Ulquiorra vs Ichigo is. Remember Ulquiorra keeps telling Ichigo "You're only human." So now Ichigo has lost all of his humanity and is able to decimate Ulquiorra. Honor, pride, and integrity are all out the window now. Also in the manga Uryu got his arm ripped off.
