Ed Helms is only 6 years older than Ellie Kemper. What the hell are you talking about?

Eric acted like an absolute cringe child. It would be different if at one point Erin asked if Andy had ever been engaged and he lied about it, but there is honestly zero reason to bring up a past relationship like that this early into the relationship. But honestly, this was kind of just bad writing anyways.

as someone who is highly emotional with a child like innocence let me explain erin: TRUST is a big thing to her. he broke her trust by keeping a secret that EVERYONE knows except her. so from her perspective its like she is boo boo the fool with everyone laughing at her behind her back. also: if its really no big deal then why is it a big deal to NOT tell her and to NOT take responsibility for keeping it a secret?????????? actions gotta match words to be true: its not a big deal so im telling you; its a big deal so im telling you. simple pimple. andy is not great at expressing himself or communicating. look how long its taken for him to ask the girl out and how many times messed it up by not being CLEAR AND DIRECT with his words. is it really that hard to be upfront with people to yall? "hey erin im interested in you and would like to take you out. but before you answer, i did use to date angela. in fact we were engaged. i know that could cause you to feel awkward or uncomfortable so giving you a heads up". i've had guys with disabilities, addictions/in recovery, in open relationships/cheating dl losers be up front with me saying "hey this is the deal, you want me or not". if people like that can do it why cant the rest of the world do the same? transparency is sexy

I love the parallel between the siblings and Greg when it comes to "playing the game." With Shiv trying to be like Logan but failing to read the room. Kendall not taking charge and stepping up, allowing Logan to call the shots, which led to Logan, Waystar, and Kendall himself looking weak as a whole. As Jerry says to Roman, you always need to be thinking about how your actions will advance your position. Whereas Greg has been shown to be doing this throughout the whole show by developing relationships with both Tom and Kendall, then utilizing those relationships along with the blackmail of the cruise documents to get a deal with the CEO. Also, notice how even though Logan could have used Greg's naïveté to undermine his position, instead he willingly confirmed to Greg that he had leverage and even guided him on how to use it. Something he rarely does with anyone, especially the kids.

I would agree she overreacted. However she is younger and less mature than Karen. Not even a fair comparison to me. Michael kinda messed up too, but when doesn't he lol
She shouldn't have exploded the way she did, buuuut Andy fucked up too. Andy also isn't at all perfect. Remember his character. Also exploded and reacted with emotion before he changed to be better. He has no position to stop pursuing Erin

Yes to your points but Jim and Pam also worked together when Karen found out. Did Karen react the way that Erin did? Just saying there’s an adult way to process your feelings. On a broader note I agree Andy shouldn’t have gone after women in his work environment. That is definitely an Andy faux pas.

It’s bewildering how Connor is the most delusional and also the most empathic of the as yet seen Roy family.

A sore spot for andy where he gives a special mention to angela this episode? Dawg. He didn’t do *nothing* wrong.
Erin has issues so he isn’t likely equipped to deal with that anyways but it’s understandable that she’s upset.
It’s operating on a bit of sitcom energy but Andy and Angela work together, still. Would most people like their current partner working with their exe? Again, overreaction on erin’s side but it’s not “not a big deal” and a lot of people get her POV even if we can regonize she has emotional issues.
And again with the Michael thing. Bruh Michael was pressured to go on this lunch and Andy knows Michael well enough now that he should know he doesn’t keep secrets. Lampshaded by the show.

It’s in the past and it’s a sore spot with Andy. Why bring it up during the honeymoon period with a new relationship? And what’s the big deal anyway? Andy was engaged with someone and now it’s over? Even Karen had a better reaction than Erin had. Andy did nothing wrong, Michael revealed information that wasn’t his to reveal, and Erin reacted like a child who can’t process feelings.

She’s likes andy a lot though. I think she’s gonna be the rare watcher for those future seasons that we can’t talk about yet.
And erin definitely overreacted but it’s a bit wild people are putting it completely on her. Putting aside that three weeks is still pretty long to withhold something THAT big, they didn’t only know each other for only three weeks, they flirted and bonded long before they official went out. It’s like saying Pam and Jim’s relationship only started in season 4. Officially yes, logically, no. It’s a different type of history.

Logan’s conciliatory words to Kendall really hit me in the feels this episode. NGL i actually started to get teary eyed when I rewatched the episode. So it just hurt me a lot when shortly after that moment we see Kendall and Logan ripping at each other behind Josh’s back. I was especially shocked when Logan asked Kendall for water and he told him to get it himself. Regardless of how awful Logan is he’s still an old man and it’s human instinct to show concern for old people. I just rest on the hope that there’s still a kernel of love between the family members buried way down deep beneath all their poison to each other.

I agree with everything that Marketa said. Erin completely overreacted and is taking the information like a child. I can understand feeling weird but adults should be able to talk something about like this and move past it. The fact that Erin couldn’t even talk about it and had to throw cake at Andy’s face shows that she’s still a child and not ready for most types of relationships.

Also Andy was courting her for a while, it’s not like they met on their first date. Also, 3 dates or not, they’re serious enough to use the girlfriend/boyfriend label.
She did overreact, but Andy is being left off the hook a bit.

Thinking it's not a big deal to not bother telling your girlfriend that your ex-fiance works 8 feet from her is literally wild. Andy and Erin is already gross because of the massive age difference. Andy is easily the worst written character on the show and we haven't even hit the worst of it yet.

You honestly want to spend you time and life with a person that is holding such important and life changing decisions? If anything, Im way more upset with Andy for not saying anything. 3 weeks is plenty of time to talk about something THAT big. You think marriage and commitment isn't a big deal? I think that's crazy to me.

I think it was just weird for Erin because it was somebody they both knew well and saw most everyday that Andy was engaged to. Obviously she overreacted and she has some things to work through, but I’ve always thought it was weird that it would never have come up or been mentioned by Andy or anyone else ever since she’d been there.
Also glad to see you guys laughing so much at Gabe. Low-key the funniest character of the episode in many of his appearances.
