I'm sorry but "fighting big bosses" and "memorization of movesets" doesn't make two games similar. Mario has you fight Bowser, who is a large boss, and he has moves that you need to memorize. So are Mario and Dark Souls now similar games? And I agree with Pazz, your comment is cringe. Unironically (and incorrectly) using the word "acoutremont" is the cherry on top.

2024-11-11 16:42:25 +0000 UTCI cant tell if patrick is playing up his persona still when he says monster hunter and dark souls are nothing alike. If he wasnt thats a dumb thing to say lol. They share a lot of gameplay systems and design, with similar combat systems. Obviously the acoutremont around them, like gear, or the preamble to get to the fight, are *different*. But they share those same systems in the first place, meaning theyre at least closer than βfurther apart than anythingβ. And that belies the main point, that the gameplay, I.E the fighting of large bosses, memorization of movesets, input queuing of the players attacks etc are all fundamentally the same between games.
