Yea so the beach fight Johnny did push him a bit but Daniel did charge at hit after trying to hit him twice before he kicked him in the stomach. Johnny honesty showed a lot of restrain in that fight. Also, if Daniel wants revenge fine but it's you get caught you deal with the consequences

Trevon

god can you guys figure out a better method of syncing for uncuts. sayin sync to this frame then starting the fucking video over after the countdown makes it pointless

The Normies

Pat's right about getting one punch in. It sends a message to the bullies that Miguel isn't going to be a pushover and will fight back.

IRL a brutal martial art like Krav Maga, where the immediate goal is to annihilate and incapacitate the opponent, is more effective in real world hostile situations than martial arts where tournaments and points evolved the fighting technique. If someone is coming at me with a knife, I want a fast way to disarm and incapacitate their wrist rather than worry about respecting the opponent in that moment. The knowledge and wisdom imparted by Miyagi are important but only a part of the martial arts umbrella of wisdom (if that makes any sense).

I hope you guys get a website soon, you mentioned it in the Cobra Kai reaction. You don’t have a mobile site so trying to pull up the watch alongs on your phone and the content on the tv is really difficult.

HQB

Agreed.

MPH

I'm so glad Pat is back on the couch to offer a bit of push back whenever the other three are quick to dismiss some of Johnny's teaching styles

Captain K'nuckles

Ayo did they day the finale was up already. If so? Where

PamRenea

that is one of my VERY few complaints about the show: not long enough. totally agree with pat that it should be an hour long (40 minutes in streaming time). that way we can flesh out the characters more like grandma, aisha, and such.

rickie woodson

thats on miguel for not running. like come on bro. if the boys run, YOU run. just street smarts 101. gotta work on those survival instincts

rickie woodson

They could rotate, 1-2-1.

Solebat

It was Normie Con so they were just busy with that

Damian missing these couple last episodes of Castlevania is a sin lol this show stands with some of Netflix's best.

MojoJojoGojo

What when was this stream

Imari

My point is Daniel was already willing to fight and Miguel isn't. Furthermore after Daniel got beat up on the beach he was still ready to fight at the soccer game. The only thing I'm justifying is why Miguel needs a push while Daniel need to slow down some.

Rahsaan

Did the Normies say they we're off this weekend or did I miss some links

BradBoimler

Man, Cobra Kai goes by so fast I wish you'd do two at a time, but I guess this will prolong it.

Jimmie V

What a gigantic strawman lol. Nobody said talking to a girl justifies bullying. Nobody said daniel was the bad guy. He said daniel had the aggression and strike first mentality and was balanced out by miyagi. Miguel is far more reserved than daniel and doesn’t have a fight in him and johnny is instilling some aggression in him. Daniel was already willing to talk to girls, miguel literally needed to hype himself up with Johnny’s word to even start to approach sam.

Veya

Funny how you leave so many things out. Talking to a girl doesn't justify bullying. Daniel punched Johnny on the beach after he got pushed around and kicked in the stomach by him. At the football game he was clearly fouled by Bobby. At the Halloween party Daniel wanted to have revenge for once after all the bullying. Don't try to make Daniel the bad guy. He was the victim.

Stephanie

Top tier comment right here. The Normies seem to have a very western commercialized understanding of martial arts. The majority of martial arts are grounded in the understanding that the techniques are to eliminate your foe, not just run away or protect yourself. That's why good instructors will teach their students to use prudence and restraint because they understand that the techniques can seriously injure others. Johnny's philosophy of "strike first" isn't good or bad, it all comes down to how it is applied. Same as Mr. Miyagi's philosophy; it all comes down to how you apply it.

Alex

Too much anime black/white shonen mentality. Even the take on the bystanders is unnuanced. There’s literally examples of bystanders who got hurt trying to break up fights. And yeah everything rahshaan said is corect AND as i said last week there’s a fundamental misunderstanding of Johnny’s strike first. It’s strike first if you need to. Not strike first for no reason. If a country puts their army at the border of yours, Johnny would be like attack it first, Daniel would be wait till they actually cross. But they’re treating what Johnny is saying as the army moving towards the border unprompted.

Veya

they reacted to it on twitch but Idk when they'll post their reactions/uncuts

Stealth_

Thank you! Someone had to say it. I think the crew for this show currently have a somewhat un-nuanced understanding of Martial Arts and their various philosophies, which is ok of course, I don’t expect them to be experts. Hopefully they can learn something from Cobra Kai.

ChipHand_Z

#sundayrundown #cobrakai The Miyagi philosophy is defense only, but there many forms of martial arts and some of them are made to destroy the other person quickly (think Jiu Jitsu vs Krav Maga). Honestly, Miguel needs some Strike First. The difference between him and Daniel - Daniel was a hothead, willing to fight and he got into the beef because he WAS talking to the girl. Miguel wasn't confident and he was totally submissive to his bullies. Daniel punched Johnny on the beach, punched the other kid playing soccer, turned the hose on Johnny while he was minding his business and talked shit while the truce was on. Daniel was ready to fight and didn't have the tools. Miguel needs the tools and the confidence.

Rahsaan

#SundayRundown You'll notice that during the 'montage' at the beginning of the season, there's a lot of iconography of death surrounding the various cults trying to bring Dracula back. It can be interpreted that Death was supplying them with info to bring Dracula back. There's also various clues that Varney isn't what he appears to be throughout the season. His eyes are strange looking, with nobody else's appearing as his do. He smells terrible all the time, like a rotting carcass. Lastly, he claims to have been around before London was even an idea. London is an ANCIENT city, meaning he's been around since at least the BC times. Varney is shown to be this goofy character because he's basically this overpowered being that CAN afford to goof around and not worry about things since normal vampires are nothing in his presence. It's brilliant storytelling and I'm glad you guys got to see the 'final boss' of the series.

Shihi

When are you guys posting the Gen V reaction I saw you record on Twitch last week

Matt Carson

So are they gonna watch Gen V

Imari

Perfect timing for my break
