I agree that the sub is best but in my opinion the Netflix dub takes third place with the original dub taking second place

2023-10-09 14:50:29 +0000 UTCHey I'm one of the biggest Eva fans you will ever meet, genuinely, and back in the day I watched the original dub and loved it... That being said as the years went on I finally got ahold of the sub and it blew my mind how much better it was... Then when Netflix decided to make a new dub I was doubtful it could be good... But in my opinion the original sub is best, the Netflix dub is second, and the original dub is last... It's not to say the 90s actors didn't do well, just uhhhhh yeah... Netflix cast better I think

Also why don't you ask anyone who's actually seen both dubs which one they prefer 90% of the time they're going to stick with the original.

2023-10-08 17:27:07 +0000 UTCLook at the reviews for the Blu-ray set that has the Netflix dub on Amazon. The new dub is massively hated. I'm not making that part up. Also if it wasn't hated then why did they bother to restore the original dub on the brand new collector's edition blu-ray?

I know the voices might sound different but that's because those are the original voices from the original dub. No one likes the Netflix dub. They even re-released the Blu-ray with the original dub because everyone hated the Netflix version
