Cero (that red blast technique that Yammy used) means Zero. You guys also notice the spanish ost's that are so fire, they're gonna play more often. Plus various Spanish words, we'll explain as the series goes on but you're getting the hang of it. Glad Suraj returned for these episodes. Ikkaku (bald guy) voice actor is Vig Mignogna (Edward Elric) which is why he sounds familiar to you guys. Ulquiorra's voice actor is Tony Oliver who also voiced Minato 🔥

2023-08-23 20:58:58 +0000 UTC#weirdanimesexshit As messed up as it is I think in the last episode where Misato sat on Shinji’s bed she was offering herself to him… she really has little self worth That’s why she asked if he was scared of women The contrast between Misato and Ritsuko is really important, Misato feels like all she has to offer anyone is her body (she doesn’t understand basic human connection in a lot of ways) and Ristuko feels that all she has to offer others she wants to be close to is her mind (we see her constantly judging Misato for how she dresses and behaves with Kaji and wearing make up whenever Gendo is in town) Shinji and Kaworu also definitely have a thing… Kaworu has Adam’s soul and Ikari has Adam’s physical body in his hand (ikr? Wtf)

2023-08-23 17:58:19 +0000 UTCLots of translation errors in these episodes 1) When Ulquiorra mentions that "Ichigo cut through Yammy's cero", he is actually talking about his "iron skin (Hierro)", this is a recurrent characteristic of the Arrancar. Btw, cero is the attack the Menos Grande tried to fire when Ichigo fought it way back. Rukia called it a "Doom Blast" that time for the dubbed version. 2) When Yammy demands to know how Urahara dealt with his cero, he is a little more descriptive when explaining how. He "negated" the cero with a similar attack, rather than just deflecting it. 3) When Yoruichi is talking to Urahara about her fight with Yammy and how she got injured, she says that she should have used Shunko to boost her attacks. Shunko is the technique she and Soi Fon used to fight each other back in soul society. The fact that Arrancars have iron skin led to damaging her limbs when she beat the snot out of Yammy. #thesundayrundown Edit: Another translation thing I have been bothered by is Yoruichi's speech pattern. In the sub version she uses old Japanese, specifically how an old Japanese member of the royalty would speak. It makes her dialogue very unique compared to the rest of the cast. This is clear now that we know who she was, but it was a subtle clue before. Even Byakuya's speech doesn't have that heavy of an old japanese influence. The only captains I can think of who speak that way are Yamamoto and Unohana.

Canonically, Rukia stays in Soul Society after being rescued, and the gang don’t see her again until the arc you're on now. With the addition of the filler, however, Rukia stays in Soul Society…until she comes right back to the human world to help fight the vampires, then leaves again, then comes back now. 😅 - At 18:18, Suraj is right on the money! At this point in time, Hitsugaya was literally the most popular character, and the others weren't too far behind.

Hueco Mundo is actually Spanish for "Hollow World" ... and Arrancar is actually Spanish for "to remove", and Japanese for "Ripped Mask" .. as in hollows wanting to remove their mask to become soul reapers. Titty Kubo places the highest emphasis on the names of things. Names are extremely important to him. In some cases when writing dialogue, he starts with just a name for a character and builds them out later. Rukia was one such character.
