No reaction link for part 1?

this is the way

rickie woodson

Navi automatically assuming that Mr. Miyagi fought for imperialist Japan in WW2 is kind of wild tbh

TrapMoneyKenny

You’re right it’s not specific to this story but I think it’s relevant information to know America’s long history of marginalized people fighting for the country and still being discriminated against on a systematic level. Jim Crow was at its height of power during the same time as the internment camps for Japanese citizens, both are examples of how oppressed people were treated at home while still excelling and fighting abroad for the hope of a more free country.

CWall

Pat loves villains. He will love Cobra Kai as it progresses.

Chaos T

This is a rare post from you that needs to be highlighted and everyone needs to know about. Really good breakdown though it has nothing to do with the film or the story they were trying to tell. Good information either way.

Chaos T

Then what was up with his expression when his sensei asked him to do it? "Do you have a problem with that?! ......no sensei" LOL

Ellis Gandy

I feel like Pat is gonna have the BEST reactions to Cobra Kai lmao

Daniel R

So no splitted movies ?! Just a good ol regular one now. Did we just change the normies mind everyone!?!?

MojoJojoGojo

Nah bro ain't accepting this Johnny slander. Johnny wasn't bad for going for that bad leg, dude wants to win and no way are you gonna ignore something like that bad leg in order to win. It's like the same thing with fighters exploiting opponent's past injuries to increase their chances of winning fights.

Vicar Sol

America has a long history of oppressed people fighting for freedom at home and abroad. More than one million African American men and women served in every branch of the US armed forces during World War II. In addition to battling the forces of Fascism abroad, these Americans also battled racism in the United States and in the US military. The Army, Navy, and Marine Corps all segregated African Americans into separate units because of the belief that they were not as capable as white service members. Adding to this indignity, the Army frequently assigned White officers from the American South to command Black infantrymen. In spite of these dispiriting obstacles, African Americans fought with distinction in every theater of the war. Some of the more famous Black units included the 332nd Fighter Group, which shot down 112 enemy planes during the course of 179 bomber escort missions over Europe, and the 761st Tank Battalion, which served in General George S. Patton’s Third Army. Major General Willard S. Paul, of the 26th Division, singled out the 761st for special praise after its first action in France by writing, “I consider the 761st Tank Battalion to have entered combat with such conspicuous courage and success as to warrant special commendation.” African Americans also served in equally vital positions throughout the Army as nurses, engineers, truck drivers, gunners, and paratroopers.

Man do some people just pay to complain haha

Chago_kiba_Lee

Fun fact Ralph Macciho (Daniel) is 22 in this movie while William Zabka (Johnny) is only 18

Chris D. Jones

There were around 33,000 Japanese Americans that served during WWII. Most served in the segregated 442nd Regimental Combat Team and by the end of the war it became the most decorated combat unit in United States history for it's size and length of service. The unit received over 18,000 awards including 21 Congressional Medal of Honor recipients.

Chaos T

Thank you

Solebat

Thanks

Solebat

Echoing the comment from above. Rewatch the community scene where they do the karate kid play. It’s actually a good adaptation

Estevan Sandoval

Just posted the reaction!

The Normies

Also Daniel.... the assignment you were given is fucking stupid for numerous reasons and I question the tactic of your teacher or professor if what you're saying is a true story. That's a really shitty way to teach complicated subjects like the Great Depression, WWII, Germany's economy under Nazi rule, etc. Anyways, @Jeff K great post and hope it appears on the Sunday Rundown.

Chaos T

@Chaos T: I like the cut of your jib.

Jeff K

@Daniel Gonzalez what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this Patreon channel is now dumber for having seen it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Chaos T

Ralph is the same age as the actor who plays terry silver in the 3rd film lol. Look it up it’s crazy. Ralph looks much younger for his age and the actor who plays terry is playing a character that’s supposed to be a generation older. Blew my mind when i found out. So yeah he definitely looks really young.

Veya

no it is a problem, seriously wtf?

Macs

so where is the edited version?

Macs

So is the reaction still coming out or nah?

Pinoyjonc316

A coma is a state where you're not dead but actually fuck it why don't you look it up at least get your spelling right if you're gonna come after me for my grammar

Daniel Gonzalez

He was basically just throwing darts at a board alot of them didn't really do anything and their importance was exaggerated the war got America out of the depression plain and simple

Daniel Gonzalez

Do it because I clearly give no fucks if I'm even posting this shit I'm not defending Hitler but I still can't stand FDR and will use the mustachioed one to make him look worse

Daniel Gonzalez

It feels kinda wild to be watching people who legitimately have no inkling of the Miyagi-Do muscle memory training technique. As an 80s kid the words, "Wax on, wax off," feel inscribed on my soul.

Kris

We will see what we can do about possibly re-releasing this as a single uncut and moving forward, doing the same with KK2

The Normies

@Daniel Gonzalez, I have no idea what I just read, at least learn some punctuation, damn. Honestly putting aside the bizarre content, just the spelling errors and total lack of coherence or punctuation is bothering me so much I'm tempted to rewrite it just to fix this shit

Macs

if for some reason you still couldn't find it, here https://youtu.be/WdnXfOp-J10

Macs

It's on page 16. Have to go back a few from the one that comes up when you click the link.

Ian Blackburn

Ya Rana said he didn’t age well in the last Sunday rundown and I was like she probably doesn’t know just how old he is

Blake

I typed in Karate Kid in the search and nothing is coming up.

Solebat

Ralph Macchio looks young but he’s actually the oldest in real life out of the high school kids in this movie.

Ray D

No Problem guys im just waiting for cobra kai, once that starts its non stop lol Also maybe you guys wanna (on yr off time) might wanna re watch community the last season... where they re-enact this movie.

Ricardo Obregon

Only way to make it up to us is a free month subscription to Mickey’s OF

Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen #1

It’s technically not uncut at all.

Dooly

Glad I’m not the only one mortified by that run-on sentence.

Dooly

*Someone* got a stern talking to today lol

SpeedyCat19

@Fatherlord - Honestly, dude really should have stopped at "all the good that Hitler did" and realized he should probably just delete and back away from the computer.

Jeff K

Jesus Christ, what even is a period or comas? Were you on drugs when you wrote this mess of a run-on sentence? And there's no defense for the interment camps, but the New Deal was overall great for the country

Fatherlord

So actual true story I do the drugs I have no idea what my classmates were on we were assigned in history class historical figure I think either FDR was suggested or mandated I somehow convinced my group to do pur presentation on all the good that Hitler did to the lead up of his Times Man of the Year like if he'd stopped there he'd be the fucking greatest person ever the autobahn,Volkswagen,Germany somehow becoming a world power after the crippling it suffered for being forced to take the bulk of blame for WW1 (which kinda led to the sequel thanks allies) all happened under his watch but then he was like fuck the Jews and all minorities I'm not defending the monster but then again I also wasn't going to stand for a piece of shit cousin fucking cripple that forced US citizens into concentration camps there's not defense for FDR and I've always thought he was a piece of shit plus his New Deals sucked ass and the US was bailed out of the depression by the war not anything he did specifically

Daniel Gonzalez

I was already disappointed that the movie reaction was cut in two pieces. Honestly at this point I just don't care anymore

L.C.

This needs to be on Sunday Rundown

Captain K'nuckles

Ralph Macchio is like Paul Rudd. It doesn't look like he aged much.

Chaos T

Yeah lol I didn’t even bother because it’s just weird to stop in the middle. Destroys the point of an uncut to split it.

Veya

Ralph Macchio was 22 here

Denickart

aint no way bruh lol

Vongola Fiamme

Click the Karate Kid tag and then scroll down to premium access it’s in their

Blake

So with the scene with Miyagi breaking down over his wife and unborn child dying in childbirth, it happened in a Japanese Internment camp while Miyagi was serving in the US Army. Pat Morita actually WAS in an internment camp as a child, so this was all very, very personal and real to him. (George Takei was in one, as well.) Also: the comment about "I wanna know what Ralph Macchio looks like now." The answer is... basically exactly the same. Dude is 61, and still looks 41. Guy was blessed in the genes department. Also also: the blonde bully who isn't Johnny (the character is named Dutch, he's the one who says, "What's the matter, mommy not here to dress you?") is Chad McQueen, who actually studied martial arts. His dad was Hollywood legend Steve McQueen, who was friends with Bruce Lee. Through that, Chad McQueen's martial arts teacher was... Bruce Fucking Lee.

Jeff K

Navi automatically assuming that Mr. Miyagi fought for imperialist Japan in WW2 is kind of wild tbh

Captain K'nuckles

It doesn’t work lol

Jack SV

I would love to request that in the future, the uncut movies are released in one chunk. It's just such a pain in the ass to stop midway through, and then hope you're still at the same spot the next time you fire up the movie. Getting it re-synced is not great.

Jeff K

Just click the Karate Kid tag and it’ll come up

Jeff Long

Is anyone has the link for part 1? I missed and I can’t find it.
