It's easy to see what satire vs. sitcom comedy is; you're just in denial and trying to defend a show that fell off extremely hard after a certain point. Meanwhile, IASIP the last several seasons including the recent season have been highly rated by critics and well received by the viewing audience. There's only been really one or two bad seasons in it's entire 16 year run.
The Office was 100% a satire on corporate America in its first season; its best season. By season five it's "will they won't they" storytelling and there's only a veneer of satirical storytelling within the series. One of the worst creative decisions for the "The Office" was humanizing Michael Scott. There's a legitimate argument the British version of "The Office" is better because it knew what it was and was consistent in its approach to storytelling.
Ratings decline or ratings success doesn't really tell a whole lot about quality of these two series due to numerous factors including cord cutting and one show being on Network tv vs. a cable network that some people couldn't even get in their cable package. To put in perspective why Network TV matters, the final season of "The Big Bang Theory" was one of it's most viewed seasons and destroyed the competition despite it being a show that was far worse in quality than its earlier seasons. Network TV can put a crap ton of resources in promoting its long term flagship shows to the masses in prime time. Network TV in the US is scare the nation at 5:30/6:30 PM and advertise for the network shows during the commercial break.

You don’t know what satire vs traditonal sitcom is but im not gonna have this conversation again since it’s gonna fall on deaf ears.
Anyways im hardly the only one that feels this way about IASIP if you look at the declining ratings from the show’s peak and unlike the office it didn’t need to lose a major character for it to happen. It’s cause nothing feels like it matters, similar to other long running shows like family guy or simpsons.

I lost interest in The Office at a certain point when it was no longer really satire and became a regular, paint by numbers sitcom. The will they/won't they stuff also weighs the series down for me.

The reason Ezra was so upset about her making orders is because they are the same age both where born near empire day

The fact he doesn’t take ‘no’ for an answer will be a running theme going forward

Eh i agree it’s always sunny is funnier but I don’t think it’s a big difference or anything but the office has actual character arcs and an emotional core that got me to watch until the end. For it’s always sunny i kind of lost interest after season 10 or 11 as there isn’t an actual anchor to the show. Not surprised about his opinion though he’s nodded off in the office a number of times lol.

Fun fact: In the first scene when Charlie and Dee are trying on the clothes in the store, Charlie accidentally calls Dee by her real name(the actresses name; Kaitlin). A lot of people miss it.

Rebels is happening parallel to Andor season 1. In my headcanon the first episode of rebels is after the Aldahni heist because that’s when the Empire upped the charges on basically everything as rebel activity, and in the premiere of rebels we have that goat guy arrested for “treason” based on a fruit stand…and Leia is a princess because of her mother is queen of Alderaan.

It's a shame we haven't got a "Knights of the Old Republic" movie trilogy or TV series yet.

As a correction for Spidey, Mon Mothma's daughter was not referred to as a princess, and she is not. As others have said, Leia is a princess because her mother is the Queen of Alderaan, Bail Organa acts as Consort and thus has the role of Senator representative of the planet. Padmé was never a princess but went straight to being Queen as Naboo has an elective monarchy.

I'm so confused with the Always Sunny episodes... because this is not episode 5 but 6, your reaction to episode 4 was titled episode 3 and the episode 4 reaction was actually episode 3... What is going on?

Alderaan is a hereditary monarchy, Leia's mother is the Queen, Bail married into the royal family, that's why he's a senator and not a king.

If you’d like to know more about some of the making of this show, Rebels Reacon is a 5-7 minute show on youtube on the Star Wars channel where the creators/VAs of Rebels discussed each episode back when it was still airing.
