Finally got to watch the whole season and your reactions. Think it may be my favorite season, and love you reactions but I did have one pretty big issue in how they handled Jaune. He was there for years but got absolutely no stronger or wiser in that time. They even start off having him act slightly sterner and immediately reduce him to the joke he always was in the next episode. Then the thing I really expected to focus on was the fact that HE killed Penny (even more so Weise is the ONLY one who actually knows that), and there's NO way he's ok with it, but it never really comes up. I do think this is why they were pretty deliberate in never specifying exactly how long he was actually there. I was a little annoyed they undid his ageing at the end but given there was no substance behind it, it stopped bothering me.

In Vol.7 at Amenity Penny hit Neo hard with a laser breaking her aura and knocking her out of the fight for a bit, and that was after Maria was messing with her hard. Yeah Maria didn’t actually beat her and was knocked down after being distracted but those were the first time we really saw Neo hurt and out classed

My guess is various factors like budget constraints, writers who probably don't have experience with the DC characters, some other thing going on behind the production. Either way I'm just a main story enjoyer, I want to see how rwby ends because I would hate to just have it left in limbo.

Did RWBY fans like the movie or was it a bad portrayal of DC and RWBY characters?

I hope that there are further talks if the next volume gets created as they kinda rush through the topic and I hope they dont forget Jaune is still 20 years older than the rest of the group. He should have his personality but his thought process and maturity should still reflect his age.

2023-05-08 20:30:58 +0000 UTCThe family portrait in Chapter 8 was of Neopolitan and her parents, Jimmy and Carmel. Neo did not have the most nurturing childhood and that is all I will say but if you’d like to know more about Neo and Roman Torchwick, I recommend the novel RWBY: Roman Holiday.
