2023-04-16 22:17:28 +0000 UTCIt’s “intelligent” in that there’s some depth you can get on a rewatch and the characters are nuanced (more nuanced than game of thrones characters since that show has been brought up). It’s not hard to follow in terms of plot so idk where the need to be intelligent to watch it idea comes from. Being “intelligent” may allow you to get more out if the show than if you don’t think past surface elements but that’s hardly unique to this show.

2023-04-16 19:54:06 +0000 UTCno interest in succession but if yall watch it ill check out the reaction. but if its considered an intelligent show: star trek is an intellectual show so watch that (starring with next gen of course). and if you guys can grasp game of thrones i dont see how other intellectual shows would be "too smart" for you. just get the right crew: surj, marketa, navi and add whomever else wants to join but those should be the main three. all educated/intelligent and from three different countries so three different perspectives. y'know, IF you do it. i think succession is in its last season? so just 4 seasons, a short show relatively speaking.

The whole couch would enjoy it, it is very emotional at times, has some of the most hilarious comedy and comedic timing time ever that would have you crying and laughing, and is a quite long show that you could get very invested in and just an all-around epic and fun adventure!! :)

It’s one of the greatest shows of all time that also legitimately changed television. It also has the most developed television character ever created. Similar to Succession and The Wire it’s not just a dry drama because it’s very funny so there’s good reaction fodder in it. I also liked the idea of an HBO slot mentioned some time ago for more quality programs being shuffled in from time to time. Thing like Deadwood and White Lotus, Silicon Valley or The Leftovers ( same creator as Lost) are also good choices.

My patronage ends tomorrow and dammit, you guys are really making me want to keep paying, with your fun and your audience engagement and escapism and all sorts. What discipline I can muster may win out for now, but now I know I'll be back in the future. Been watching six years and can scarcely believe it's been eight for you. Hope you'll be around for many more to come.

As of this comment it is the #1 rated Anime on the biggest anime rating service and #2 on the other. It seems to be doing very well for a lot of channels right now too (Roshi is at 180k in 2 days for example). It's a show that is best to go completely blind in to so I don't want to say too much, but I think you guys would very much appreciate it's look in to the entertainment industry. My wallet is glad yall don't have that "request an episode" tier anymore because of this show.
