Early access: Scanless
Added 2024-11-20 01:31:58 +0000 UTCThis early access has been available on the Discord since the Patreon's launch but I felt like it wasn't really that visible, so I figured I'd post it on Patreon so it gets more visibility!
This is a world that I started in 2022, the idea behind it was that current Scanner worlds in VRChat did not offer as much freedom as I expected and all lacked a story component.
Each player has a network synced scanner with infinite particles & the world uses a synced footsteps system w/ different material sounds.
It is currently paused in development, the story has been planned out and a lot of the systems are done but it needs a lot of 3D modelling to work correctly.
I do not know exactly when I'll go back to working on it at this time, however, a lot of the elements that I built for Scanless have been re-purposed for my future projects.
Controls:
O / Right controller joystick click or pad center click - Switches between Distance & Material colors
P - Teleports near the most interesting part of the cave
Scrollwheel / Right controller joystick or pad up & down - Widens or Tightens the scanner beam

This world is not representative of the final experience, it does not contain any story element and it is just using an Asset Store scene because I needed something to scan.
