Felarya Voracious defense demo

It's a tower defense made by DevS098 and Garrisen. Only, towers are replaced by lovely, big hungry ladies using their tummies to repel ( or welcome ) the invaders X3
For now only one level is playable but it certainly shows a lot of promise and looks very good already ! the animations of the sprites in particular are amazing I think ^^ It's smooth and very detailed. You also get to see a certain fairy with antlers there ! XD

I'd always put Melany in the topmost position because she could pull from three sides, but I'll try her as the goalie like you said. Thanks for the tips :-) Now I'm imagining the prey getting past all of those naga, fairies, and deertaurs, thinking they're home free, only to round the corner and see Melany waiting for them :-)

Nagas refund more mana when full so they are useful in the beginning of the game for generating mana and getting your economy going. Fairies are cheapest and fill fastest and since popularity is generated by filling "Towers", they are best for generating popularity and just generally filling the map with towers. Deertaurs stun groups and break shields. Since both of these are relevant only on fresh waves, they should only go at the entrance of the map. Lastly Melany can theoretically stop up to eight prey in a burst with traps alone, plus a few more as they run around her. She needs prep-time to do this though so you should use her as a "goalie" of sorts. Always put her in the final spot - which has the most trap coverage anyway on this map as well - and never put anyone else in that spot. That way she has time to build up traps. Start with nagas to build up your mana while the game is easy. You'll need to transition to fairies before you can fill the map though. You can put down about 2-3 nagas before using more will cause you to leak prey. Don't bother with deertaurs at all until they start coming in groups or with shields. Once they do, use the deertaurs in the first two positions. As soon as you hit popularity 2 its possible to get Melany and immediately try to get her in the last position. Once you can fill the whole map you don't need nagas anymore and can just use about 2 deertaurs in the first 2 positions, then fairies, and last Melany. Also the map has 2 positions with 3 access points to the track, and 1 position with only 1. The rest have 2. More access points give the "towers" more time to eat as the prey runs around so they are more useful positions. One of those 3s is the last spot and should be Mel only but make sure to use the other one as much as possible. Fill the spot with 1 access point last. Lastly don't be afraid to shuffle your hand of towers. Unless you might need to place a tower immediately you are generally gated by mana, not your hand, so most of the time its safe to shuffle it. The only way this can backfire is if multiple fill at once and you need to place quickly. I think that's about it. I got a 3 star this way so it definitely works.

2021-05-30 02:36:00 +0000 UTCI'm not saying make every line have a voice to it, but key that ngs like grunts, or laughing, or burps. Perhaps a couple quick quips here and there that you hear alot. Kind of like in mass effect 2 when shepard says "reloading cover me" something that can go in multiple places without seeming overused.

2021-05-27 16:47:59 +0000 UTCAn interesting detail I found is the when you select a predator on the field the Gurgle, Blorp, etc. words pop up. I don't know if that is use to help players figure out how close the preds are full and about to leave but the usually do shortly after those sfx. appear.
