PROCESS VIDEO ✧ sketch sessions + rough painting w/ chill music

I typically share process of finished paintings, so I thought it'd be fun to show what an average sketching session looks like for me. it's nice to sit down with a single brush and eraser and just draw. it's an opportunity to learn and practice, but it's also therapeutic to move a brush around and make lines and swirls. sketching serves multiple purposes for me, so I always get something out of it even if it's not for the intention of honing a skill. in these videos, I tried to focus on shape language, line weight, and flowing lines. it helps to approach each sketchbook "page" with a general idea of what I want to practice so I can learn something new. I tend to bite off more than I can chew, so limiting myself often helps the most. 👍

i'm glad you liked it alexyz! ^.^ ikr, there's so much mileage you can get from textured brushes. it's an easy way to add a lot of visual interest to a painting and other digital settings like color jitter and spacing are fun to play around with in tandem. have fun experimenting more!
