WEEKLY SKETCHDUMP // back to digital artwork AGAIN

Hi everyone! :D

I've got a colorful sketchbook collection for you today because as the title states I have gone back to working primarily in digital medium! I noticed I do this every few months or so, switching between digital and traditional, and I think it's a way for me to reset my mind and try out new techniques when I feel stuck. Also it's purely coincidence but the pages are in rainbow order which I was pleased to discover when putting together this post. :)

Above: Tried a more realistic style. Not sure that it really resonates with me but I had fun regardless.

Started listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers last week and I have been obsessed with them ever since. Mostly music they made with John Frusciante, tried listening to their newer stuff and it was okay. Did some gesture sketches to get myself acquainted with the general stance and positioning of guitar players. They look so effortlessly cool, I love it. *_*

D.Va in athletic wear and some sick kicks I saw Anthony Kiedis wearing. I love drawing the Overwatch ladies in workout gear, I imagine they have to exercise a lot to stay in shape!

Some studies of nature. Trying to focus on understanding color and composition. It's challenging but rewarding! >o<

Felt an intense need to draw these two portraits for some reason. I'd like to clean these up and complete the image I had for them in mind! Been experimenting with negative space lately and I think it's plenty fun. :)

Hope you like these sketches and thank you so much for your support! October is coming up on us which means Inktober is almost here. Will have a post about that in the coming days detailing my plans and goals for this year's Inktober. ^^ Wishing you a fantastic day and much love! <3

Right? I just feel like their earlier works have more subtlety that lends itself to more nuanced emotional sound. That sounded really music critic-y haha but that's what I think! And thanks so much Tim, your feedback always gets me in the mood to draw. ^^

ohhhhh the first one is very interesting. It's like she has a good story with her, im making one up in my mind. I really love her, she is like eerily beautiful I love the colors and the moon phases as well. Despite you saying that it does not resonate much with you I have to say it's actually a favorite for me I really do love it. D.va, she is totally rocking them kicks!! woooooow the nature studies are so purtyful <3 The negative space portraits are so amazing, just with their eyes and hand gestures they are saying a lot and I love them~ Also I really love how the post is in a rainbow order, hehe neat.

I agree with you on RHCP...earlier stuff is definitely better! The Kiedis-D.Va crossover is great, and I love those negative space portraits!
