I think that pose is so cute and funny and the-Boy-and-Tera-ish that I had to draw it! :D
And then, size difference came in. Tera's way to tall for the Boy to stand like the original photo!!! I really struggled and tried a lot of pose for the Boy haha. There was just no way he could reach Tera's neck in that position.
I think they blend in well with the background? You can tell I'm in love with that "dots/pixelly" layer I've been putting on all of my drawing lately lmao. I kept it simple tho!
