"New" Tapas cover !

I hope you like it!!!

           I decided to update the current cover because it was the first time I did something with the intention of making a cover. And I still like it!  I thought I had officially published it on Tapas only a few months ago but it's been exactly one year, god-  And the image seems to have been first published on Patreon in 2019 if I'm not wrong. Time flies!

I'm not going to say it's a glow up, the styles are just different. At first I really thought I'd make something similar, but with different colors. I ended up redrawing it all haha. I drew Tera first and really went for digital painting, because that's what I ...naturally do?? Like without thinking and then I was like "... f_ck me, that's not what I wanted!!!"  but I gave it a try and I love the final picture!!

           What happened is that a few weeks ago I took a look at the covers on Tapas while wondering how to make something that ... catch the eye. That stands out.  And most importantly, something easy to read, with the Boy and Tera really standing out, which is not the case in the current one ( honestly I feel like this is the first time I worry about the visibility of the comic and the "marketing" side haha).

Most of the covers on Tapas and Webtoon are very colorful, it's rather joyful and rich. I went for red and grey because they both work well together, and are very rare among the covers (and that reminded me a bit of this short-comic of the little red riding hood that I had done a long time ago!).

          I'm really happy with how it turned out! The picture looks definitely more mature, which suits the comic better imo.  LOVE that Eiffel Tower foot in the background, it came pretty late cause I couldn't find something to fill that part. The fact that it's red really balances the picture! Also, Tera's outfit is closer to what he wears on the pic in which he's petting a cat!

I'll probably edit it before the final release on tapas (something like next month?), that guy on the left hide the Boy a bit too much (and the work I did on his jacket haha). There are sooo many layers and filters that it's a mess to fix one thing. I was going back and forth between Sai, CSP and Photoshop ... Took me 3 days! (ps. the crowd is photomanipulation).

          I think it comes just in time: I just reached 100k followers on Instagram, which is pretty amazing for me... all of that just by drawing The Boy and the Wolf. That's crazy.  I always told myself that I will feel """popular""" when I reach at least 100k haha. Before that I never really paid attention to that number, and I never celebrated for 10k, 50k, etc. That new cover is a nice way to say thank you to all the readers!
