The current research collection as well as a kindle edition of The Sex Lives of Australians: A History. From here I'll be working through and revisiting the bits I'm hazy on, as well as digging around open source academic articles. (Also considering re-reading At Swim, Two Boys because It's gay, Irish and a fantastic reference for speech patterns. Yeah it's about 70 years later than this story but maybe I just want to reread it whatever.)

Also, trying to hunt down affordable/existing copies of Colonialism and Homosexuality and Camping by a Billabong: Gay and Lesbian Stories from Australian History.

Yes, this stage is absolute overkill and 99.9% of this will have no use in the actual comic. I'm just in love with the subject matter.

Featured: big composition paper. I like to start by figuring out panel layouts by hand. it's quicker and just gives me a nice place to reference and see how things are flowing. Current plan is to get a full first draft script before commencing pages, and filling out things where necessary.
