2023-07-29 21:17:38 +0000 UTC2e is going to be fun for the sandbox, but I expect alot of time being spent reading through handouts, spell and mechanic descriptions. 5e allows for more "rule of cool" that the party likes. 2e ends up like "I want to steal this book from the library" "cool, do you have rogue levels with a book thief proficiency?" "Yeah, I've got a level as a literary thief rogue" "oh, sorry, that's not quite it." *koibu opens a book from 1985* "says here that you need a specific book thief proficiency in order to even attempt that check. Your character trips and take 2d6 damage instead"
