Fire Temple - a music & map collaboration

Light spills through the windows of the Fire Temple, reflecting off the city streets and walls and illuminating the desert at night. You enter through the heavy stone doors, heat blasting you as the temple roars a hurricane’s scream of wind and sand and flame. Below you, lava boils. Above you, robed figures tend to crackling torches besides an altar of molten rock.

I'm really excited to share with you Fire Temple, the latest track in my City Themes monthly theme and part of a collab with the legendary map maker Tom Cartos.

Tom has been working on creating an entire city in map form, the city of Samarahd, an oasis of life in the harsh desert lands. Within the city lies an ancient Fire Temple, full of lava and mystery. My track combines traditional middle eastern instruments and melodies with beating frame drums and monk-like choirs.

Alternate Versions

Bard Tier supporters gain access to three alternate versions of this track:

• No Drums - for a more ambient feel
• Ambient - for an even more ambient feel! Melody instruments have been removed too for this version
• Double Speed - for a more intense feel

All versions are available in mp3 and wav format, with the usual looping / 1 hour versions too. Anyone can preview these alternate versions here.
