Note on Delay

Hi!

As of posting this note, I will also post a new chapter of LNO, but I decided to put this into a separate post because it turned out a little long.

So, as you all know, it’s been a while, again… I’ve still been struggling with LNO at the current point in the story, which is largely responsible for the delay. The reason for this is that I am preparing for the series finale. I call it that because it wraps up the most long-standing story arcs, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I will stop writing LNO once that’s finished; truthfully I don’t have a clear plan on what I’ll do afterwards, but it does mean I want this arc to be as good as I can make it. But it also makes it a bit more difficult to work on LNO due to pressure to get it right.

That said, I haven’t been doing nothing all this time; in fact, I’ve continued to work on writing pretty much every day. The time I didn’t spend on LNO went into preparing for and starting to write a new series. LNO is shaping up for a possible final book, and a few months ago I figured out what I wanted to write next (a lesbian Vampire thriller). I’ll make a separate announcement post about that when I’m ready to post chapters for it. I have written around 40,000 words for that, although they do need to be edited still, and a lot of time has gone into plotting and preparation.

I’ll post another chapter of LNO within the next few days; it is already written. I am also preparing to edit the first arc of the Vampire story and will get that out soon-ish too c:

Again, I feel sorry for the delays. In the years that I’ve been working on LNO I’ve always hoped that I could get those past me with discipline and consistency, but that’s just not how my brain works, and attempts to force the issue don’t tend to pan out well. I take some solace in the fact that I do publish a lot when I can, and that even when I’m not publishing, I’m still consistently working on writing.

Either way, thank you very much for your patience with me, I do try to make my work the best it can be to make up for it.
