Brief update on Release Schedule and Patreon

Hi All,

As you might already be aware, I originally started the patreon as a way to save up some money so I could purchase ads on Royal Road and help push awareness of the novel to a broader audience.

While I'd still love to see more readers, I'd prefer to just write for fun now and happy for this to grow organically, rather than try and push it down people's throat with ads, which will probably lead to more negative feedback anyway.

So in my mind, there is probably less of a need for patreon now, though I intend to still keep running the patreon since I'm going to keep writing and continue putting the advanced chapters here. Also, just to be clear, the funds saved from patreon will all go towards the novel in one way or another eventually.

Now in terms of the release schedule, it may start getting a little more sporadic. As I said, I absolutely intend to keep writing, after the current covid arc, I already have the next two arcs mapped out at a high level, so intend to continue those. But with the chapter sizes getting bigger and other personal factors, each chapter release will take a bit longer than before (the actual writing speed is probably about the same, just that bigger chapter size means it takes longer to write that's all). It will still be hugely ahead of Royal Road, roughly 1.5+ months ahead now and likely to grow.

Also as a heads up, I've had a few people mention to me that Kindle Unlimited might be an interesting path to go down eventually once I've written more. Seems like a lot of the LitRPG and Prog Fantasy novels from Royal Road go down this path. Power of +1 is quite a different type of book, but KU may be a way to go in the future. But this shouldn't impact anything on Patreon, it should only impact what has been uploaded to Royal Road as the page might get stubbed. Anyway, something for the future perhaps.
