2024-12-10 00:17:20 +0000 UTCInterestingly, having employed Frank as a caretaker in this episode as Mr. Bradshaw, George A. Cooper would then go on to play the school caretaker for a number of years in children's drama Grange Hill.

2024-12-04 01:47:23 +0000 UTCYet another classic, very funny episode, once again Crawford's delivery and expressions are something to behold. Plenty of funny moments here, the window cleaning and security sequences are side splitting, that moment where the dog runs back into the car, hilarious. Poor Frank was definitely unemployable, bless him, well meaning and well intentioned, but accident, well more chaos prone. Fortunately this wouldn't be the end for Frank and Betty, they'd be back for a second and third series, just got funnier and funnier. Edward Hardwicke and George A. Cooper are both terrific as the Labour exchange staff, one new and fresh, trying his best to give Frank a job, the other pushed to the limits by Frank's string of mishaps.

2024-12-03 22:00:24 +0000 UTCThe window cleaning sequence is harrowing for anyone suffering from vertigo. In the documentary 'To Be Perfectly Frank' it was revealed that the star nearly fell to his death. Even the trooper, Crawford was determined to do his own stunts, even if it meant putting his own life on the line.

2024-12-03 21:58:01 +0000 UTCI remember hearing that the Michael Crawford (Frank) nearly died in the window cleaning scene! Like I say, he did all his own stunts. I don't think he was at risk of falling, but getting garrotted by the safety wire or something? I remember my parents telling me a lot! XD Some of the stunts he did were pretty crazy considering the era this was made! Yes, that was what we call "Chekhov's Bucket of Water"! Haha! XD

2024-12-03 13:35:52 +0000 UTCI can see Frank pushing the plunger and the wrong building collapsing...

2024-12-03 11:14:10 +0000 UTCMaybe Frank should try his hand working in demolitions, heβs already half way there. What could possibly go wrong?

2024-12-03 07:30:06 +0000 UTCOne of the funniest episodes in terms of Frank's lack of aptitude to find work , but.... ...wait until you see how it goes in S2!! Put it this way: you haven't seen anything yet Josh π€£π€£π€£
