It's a shame Irish and Scottish sitcoms don't give similar representation of the British Isles the way English sitcoms do.

Rob Walters

It is interesting to hear such different accents like that in the same episode, I think sometimes the differences aren't so obvious if you are not living in that country, but to hear them back to back does.

It was a good episode, I really enjoyed it. LOL the kitchen and shop scenes were fantastic =]

I think Frank actually makes sense about the apples and grapes if you follow it logically. Although instead of buying the apple twice to be able to get half the grapes for 7p, he may as well have bought them for 10p to begin with. He does get one bit wrong when he says I'll have half the grapes for 10p less the 7 you owe me for the apple. What he meant was "less the 3 you owe me for the apple" which would have meant 7p. That's what started confusing her to begin with. I've probably spent way too much time thinking about it lol

Elisabeth Sladen as the greengrocer before she was in Dr Who as Sarah-Jane Smith.

John Taylor

It is perhaps not the strongest episode from Series one, but it still has some real laugh out loud moments. Pure slapstick, once again we get to See Crawford's physical brilliance, he delivers his lines tremendously well, but his physical actions are a joy to watch. The kitchen scene is a classic moment, so well choreographed. The mix up with The Doctor is a scream, but best of all, the moment in the fruit shop, the way Frank torments poor Judy is side splitting.

Matthew Towner

I like how this episode has a patient with a thick Irish accent and one with a thick Welsh accent, representing the British isles. I'm pretty sure that doctor is the same one that was treating Albert in only fools and horses when he took Dukeys vitamin pills
