Fallen Máni: Joy

Jonathan and Silvia screamed, Hjúki and Bil assumed the form of protective birds, Thor raised his hammer, Dagr waited patiently and Sköll grinned.
Only Sif acted accordingly: watching as joy flowed through both of them.
Hati realised he was free from his fate, and Manuel realised that.
And both were filled with a passionate joy.
A joy of burdens lifted, of mired futures turning brighter.
They swam towards one another, a dog's paddle and an effortless dance, and they hugged one another.
Hati, fearsome jötunn, licked his supposed prey's face like a pup, thanking him from freeing him from his fate. His tail wagged, churning the waters, and with Manuel's touch they sifted the muck into bright cleanness.
The joy was contagious, and soon Jonathan, Silvia, the crane that was Bil and the swan that was Hjúki and Thor joined them in the water, laughing and hugging and playing.
Only Sköll, bewildered, and Dagr, furious, stood to watch.
