That's so spot on lol he really is . Has someone made that comparison before ? I look forward to season 2 for sure .

Luckily the hospital food wasn't as bad as Karl is moaning about in this lol. I've just started medication too. Hope you're feeling back to normal soon, Josh. I think many of us rely heavily on it so hope it's not too painful without it! ๐ I did wonder about The Thin Blue Line and hoped you were OK! No worries about the missed episode; double bill next week would be grand but even if you just remain one week behind, it's all good! You deserve your birthday off anyway! ๐ The start of your reaction made me laugh! New room left you speechless! Haha! Looking like a great set up though! Love this episode! Karl is unique! I wouldn't want him to be any different but I agree that his take on a few things is off. There isn't a malicious bone in his body but he's just a real pessimist and doesn't always grasp what really matters, being easily irritated by - in my opinion- the wrong things, and therefore seeming callous. There's a warped logic in much of what he says but it's not conducive to civilised society always, haha! I always thought he was a real life Victor Meldrew. Victor too, was a decent person, but took the minutiae of life too much to heart and struggled to cope! How did Margaret put it? "That's Victor's trouble. He's the most sensitive person I've ever met and that's why I love him and why I constantly want to ram his head through a television screen." ๐ I know this is a semi-fictionalised version of Karl, but he's basically playing himself and he too is very sensitive to many things in life - his hypersensitivity can sometimes render him insensitive perhaps to things he hasn't properly thought through, alas, because his sensitivity isn't balanced. He's kind of all or nothing. Anyway, great show. I love it. I think you'll enjoy series 2 even more, Josh! ๐
