The other horder lady is in a great Johnny Vegas comedy called “Ideal” which would be a great show to add to the list at some point 😋

James Brown

This was a serious improvement over the pilot whih I really couldn't get along with. Very Arthur Matthews surreal humour mixed with Matt Berry nihilism. Matt Berry, as well as being one of the funniest comedic performers, is also a genuinely good songwriter, has written some lovely songs.

god I love Toast of london reminds me of my uni days. With all the odd stuff happpening and the cheating on Ray Purchases Wife.

Love this show and your reaction. Looking forward to more episodes as it continues to revisit more characters from the pilot!

Eleanor Elliott

Also will see her in a future series of Taskmaster!

Michael Harrop

The lady who plays the psycho in this is called Morgana Robinson and also stars alongside Matt Berry in the 'House of Fools' which is absolutely brilliant fun and also star Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, as well as some amazing guest celebrities you'll recognise... It's been on the poll a few times recently and hopefully this show will inspire it to win lol because it's very similar silly humour.

Quirky is a good description and it doesn't go too far off that into surrealism in future episodes so you should enjoy it throughout the rest of the shows seasons.

A lot of the jokes in this episode were Bruce Forsyth related lol so if you're from the US like Josh, then they would have gone over your head but he was basically a British institution that lasted decades on UK TV... He was mainly a presenter on light entertainment and quiz shows and a lot of his catchphrases were the centre of the humour in this episode... The "didn't he do well" quote at the end is a well known catchphrase Bruce used to say on a popular gameshow he used to present.

Matt Berry has a musical career as well so the songs are understandable

Chris

It was different than the pilot but I am liking it so far.

I enjoyed that episode after not liking the pilot episode. It was quirky without drifting into surreal which often leaves me cold. I could do without songs as they're always an unwelcome distraction for me in comedies but that's my only criticism. I can have some fun with this I think.
