If you ask me, that's both less believable and more cliché.

I don't like the ending, it isn't believable.... I would have ended it that she was his baby and this was 20 years late or whatever and the mum was talking to her since she was a baby.

I'd live in a house someone was murdered in if it meant it was mega cheap and I could actually afford to live in my own place for one lol. Sadly what tends to happen is developers buy the land, knock it down and rebuild so they can make a lot more money from it.

By the way, did anyone else think that baby might not have been his? David's voiceover says they have sex and then 'a couple of months later' the baby is born. And I was always told by the people at the zoo that babies take longer than that to come out.
Might be reading too much into it though.

I've only dipped in and out of Psychoville/Inside No. 9 recently but this was one of my favourite things they've ever done, including LOG. There are some very touching moments between David and his mum. The scene where they talk about her dying was heartbreaking...they manage to make these moments feel real and sincere even in the context pf a thirty minute episode which ends with the mum telling her son to kill himself and boil his baby.
The combination of the classy writing of Inside No 9 with the sheer daftness of Psychoville...it really worked for me. It came together here in a way it sometimes doesn't.
And whoever it was who suggested this be left until Psychoville ended was definitely right.
