This episode tricked me me sure, about two minutes into A Quiet Night In i really thought there was technical issues so i changed channel and watched something else 🤦‍♂️. I remember looking up online to see if there was anything said about it all going wrong and then realised i was fooled. I caught the last 15 minutes at least. It was a really cool idea, if i just held on for another minute I would of seen the first ghost sighting and realised what they were doing. Still some creepy moments and it was very well done, i just think the idea kind of stops it from being very re-watchable. Reece and Steve are super talented geniuses though.

James Ellison

They were definitely going a Ghost Watch vibe with this. A dhow that got so many complaints, it was never aired again. I re-watched it not too long ago, and honestly, people definitely over reacted.

Kickstart 1.3

5.4 😉

Most likely he was talking about "Outlast", with the night vision aspect.

I don't know for sure that I'd have not been taken in by any of this during a live watch. But I suspect I wouldn't have. Seems more than a bit redundant to watch it after the fact if you ask me. In 1938 a radio drama of War of the Worlds was mistook by some as News coverage. I'd have thought that we were a bit more media savvy today. A show known for twists makes a lame attempt to pull the wool over the audience's eyes with this contrived nonsense. Sorry not a fan of this one.

Daryl

It worked live, not so much when watching later.

Spooony

This didn't work imo. But I absolutely applaud its ambition.

I couldn't play PT. It was far too intense. I had the same reaction to Alien Isolation and Dead Space 2. There's an element of vicarious pleasure when you're watching a scary movie, but when you're playing a scary game, when you're present all the time in that world and there's no equivalent of looking away from the screen, the anxiety can be too intense for some people. And it just got draining for me. So I rarely play pure horror games. And the idea of any of them in VR...to quote a recent film, nope. Just...nope. It's a shame Konami have just sat on all those extraordinary licenses like greedy hens. Let other studios have a crack at them or just sell them on, but to let them fester out of incompetence is a waste.

Saul

I didn't see it live so a lot of it was lost on me...It's hard to take a BBC continuity announcer seriously when you're on the iPlayer, haha. But I bet it was a great experience.

ALW

A lot of this was inspired by Ghostwatch -absolute cult classic

Kieran B

Josh, was the PS4 game you were thinking of 'PT'? (The cancelled Silent Hills teaser) Because the first person part was giving me uncomfortable flashbacks to that!

David Lyons

Annoying, maybe you had to be there.

Z is for Zed

this will be the only one I will not be watching cause having seen this live watching it back just isn't the same for me :(
