The reaction didn’t work. My browser kept freezing and closing me out of MEGA….. surely there’s another private video hosting site you could upload to where paramount won’t find it??

The hell you talking about? You copy and paste the key and watch the movie lol

I'd say that does make a lot of sense i know cameron left it open what we think i think for rose the heart of the ocean belonged there again like josh said maybe because of jack. Even now so many things could have saved titanic but bruce ismay's vision and not allowing andrews bigger bulkhead doors did not help. Maybe had they been full height bulkhead doors he'd wanted it might been damaged but ssalvageable

Some of the cgi & test shots for titanic was done on an 1992 amiga A4000 its widely believed parts of apollo 13 was on the same machine too. The card in the 4000 was bespoke and only 1 is believed to exist without the footage cannot be viewed

For me the diamond being thrown in the water at the end is quite significant of a lot of things. (1) It signifies as you say that it's the 'heart of the ocean' and her heart is with Jack whose now in the ocean. (2) I think it's about her knowing that she's ready to die herself cuz the following scene we see the titanic reforming back to how it was in her mind while she's reunited with Jack and the others who died which to me suggests she was dying in her sleep at the time and felt a sense of it being the right place and right time for her to pass and the diamond signifies her leaving the whole experience behind her where it belongs. (3) She makes the point early on to the guy whose explaining how the ship sank and describes it as 'cool' that it was a horrible experience for everyone onboard. I think she feels that people are studying the ship and dedicating their lives to it but none of them are truly understanding the heartbreak and devastation of it all because they're all fixated on little parts of it like how it sunk or rediscovering lost artifacts, searching for missing diamonds etc. when that's not the point from her perspective. Throwing the diamond away to me sort of signifies that it's only a minor element of the bigger picture that should be discarded in the memory of the event.

Rather than having "nothing to say about this reaction" I think the naysayers just didn't watch it. Because they didn't like the film. I mean... isn't that the advice of practically everyone whenever someone dares to criticise the shows/films that get voted in - 'just don't watch it then'. So they don't watch it - and that ends up being something you criticise them for?

I got this to work in the end. Great reaction. Yes, we do have real footage of the Titanic underwater. You saw some of it here. A company called Blue Star Line is apparently building a Titanic the second.

Hi Josh, really enjoyed this reaction. Titanic is a good film (it has its flaws like all films do) and I liked that the naysayers in the poll comments have nothing to say about this reaction in these comments. Had a great time sitting here watching it with you with a few beers and snacks. Keep up the good work.

How about using Vimeo?

That's my main gripe with the movie too. It's also the thing I think has aged the worst. Cameron was widely reported to be fixated on getting every little detail right when it came to replicating the Titanic (including all the interior details). Seems odd to have that priority but be happy to pee all over real people's legacies in the movie. Oh it doesn't matter that heros who gave their life and saved countless others are now portrayed to millions as villains and cowards.... as long as the clock on the grand staircase is spot on. 🙄

I'm torn about this film, on the one hand the elements that are good are so good, great visuals, atmosphere, music etc. There is so much of it that I do like. But then there is so much I hate as well, but it's biggest crime is using real people, who lived and died on Titanic, and portraying them as villains or cowards, just because it adds some drama. We should be crying over them in this movie, not a fictional character with a 90's haircut! Then again, if nothing else, it is a film you have to see, for all of the good elements, it's always worth a watch. For the bad elements, hopefully it inspires people to read up on the true stories, and see what Hollywood got grossly wrong.
