Enjoyable series but for me it's a show of two halves. Series 1-7 is great and very appealing and funny (cheesy as you say, but funny). Series 8 onwards seems such a departure and it becomes quite a different premise. I won't elaborate on why in case it wins a poll in the near future but most people who have seen all of it will know what I mean.

@C Horner Yeah, but Wayne's World wasn't up for a vote in a Patreon you pay money for. If it was you might've felt like saying that you found it less funny than you remembered. You probably wouldn't have said 'don't lower yourself' but that's basically the implication whenever someone trashes a show in the comments. Which touches on why people react so defensively to criticism of their favourite shows - there is no real way to criticise something someone else loves in a way that's acceptable to them, it always gets their hackles up regardless of how polite you are.

It's nowhere near as bad as the first Blackadder first season... The MBB S1 is still worth watching and shows the development of the characters which is vital and also totally different to Blackadder in that show changed to different character's each season so not a like for like comparison... I don't think we should have even mentioned the change in S2 anyway as I see it as a spoiler for Josh and watching S1 makes you appreciate how good it gets over its evolution.

I've never seen the first series, The BBC never used to repeat it as it was ITV made, I assume it's just 6 episodes surely everyone can sit through 6 bad episodes to get to the good stuff? It's not like US shows where the first season is 20+ episodes.

For those who think Josh should skip the entire first series of Men Behaving Badly, this is what he had to say when he'd completed the first series of Only Fools & Horses: "I look forward to the second season of Only Fools . Its always awesome to see a show's natural evolution. I think it makes you appreciate the show a lot more when you experience it from the beginning. When Only Fools was first brought up in the comment section on YouTube along with other shows, I remember how many people asked me to skip full seasons or particular episodes of shows . I think doing that takes away valuable character building and an overall appreciation for the shows growth. There are blogs, forums and videos dedicated to season and episode skips. I don't think I could ever skip seasons or episodes of a show I am watching for the first time. I will always feel like I am missing something." For me personally, I saw series 3 of Men Behaving Badly first and didn't see series 2 until it was repeated. They never repeated series 1 and I'd heard negative things about it. I was intrigued, so I bought it on VHS and was pleasantly surprised. I recently watched the entire show again from start to finish and enjoyed every second. It maybe "of its time", but I bloody well loved the 90s.

No, it was mediocre. Don't know why people are championing it like it's any good. 'Steptoe and Son' is the one for me, plus its two feature films. Without Steptoe, there would have been no OFAH and the amount John Sullivan took from Steptoe for OFAH is unreal!

Definitely got to be Men Behaving Badly from this list, quite slim pickings for me after that. I know it won't make this list but it would be great to see you react to the Top Gear specials, not the whole show but their road trip specials. It would be a little bit like An Idiot Abroad as it would be a funny travel programme

Agreed. I think the first series of MBB is underrated. The show would go on to be much better (series 1 of both OFAH and OFITG were similarly not the strongest) but it's still good stuff!

I do now think Men Behaving Badly would be an ideal successor to Only Fools and One Foot in the Grave for Friday nights. It's a great show that gets better with every series and I think Josh would really enjoy it. Jonathan Creek would be my second choice and is also written entirely by David Renwick who wrote OFITG! Also, Caroline Quentin is in both these shows and is brilliant! :-D
