Hello everyone. I apologize for the lack of updates lately. In all honesty I've been somewhat disillusioned since the last update (due to all the problems that need fixing and some rather negative feedback). Also, I've been playing a lot of Stardew Valley and Saints Row: The Third.
That doesn't mean I've given up on FSA or anything. I fully intend on getting back to it soon. I've been thinking a lot about the feedback from The Tower update and I will try to help that area go along more quickly in as many ways as possible. I need to add a lighting system for The Cellar (the area with the sad mukis) and possibly The Tower's basement and outside of The Tower. There's also the small cave where you get the bomb... I might light that up. We'll see. The only place I definitely won't be lighting up is The Caverns (with the Dark Drake) to the NW of The Tower. This will be an area you'll want to return to as you find more tools and their upgrades for extra goodies. In The Caverns you'll need as many of the lantern's upgrades as you can get.
Speaking of the lantern, I've been considering adding refillable oil flasks to the game.
I haven't decided for sure, but I'd like it to be something similar to the bottles you find in the Legend of Zelda games. They'll probably be more limited in FSA though, like maybe three in total. I'm thinking these could also be filled with a full recovery option to be used in battle (revives, cures, heals, and restores mana to the party). Also, it might not be flasks/bottles.
I think I'll also remove the ink system. There's not much need for it. A system like that works for a shorter game that might take 2 hours to beat on a speed run, but it probably isn't the best idea for FSA.
About The Tower again, I want to allow players to sleep through the days if they wish. I might even allow players to skip the whole thing. Alternatively.. it might just need more activities to make it less boring/paintful to go through. Particularly sex events. It's certainly something I need to work on. The cat girl also needs some love. I barely worked on her and I would like to allow daily interactions between her and the player (among other things). The original intent was that you could feed, bathe, etc.. her on a daily basis if you wish. Near the end of The Tower, before the time lapse, you'd have to decide whether to go back for her or not, as well as deciding what to do with her if you do go back.
