I'm a bit surprised you didn't react to "The Thing by John Carpenter" line.. have you seen that movie? If not.. gotta fix that!

Wagoo

The nude woman's father is hilarious! I love the way he's so serious and pissed off all the time 😁

John Morris

Dear Josh, This episode was too wide. This is not a 16:9 show. I had to set my TV to 4:3 but of course that made you appear too narrow.

Agreed in regards to the schedule. The only weak link is Gavin & Stacey for me. I love everything else.

Right Said Brett

I love how OFITG has brought out the Victor Meldrew in you Josh lol I now know you are annoyed by littering and politicians who just go around shaking hands and never get anything done.

So OFITG was on tv today, and I watched one of them (even though I have the dvds and have rewatched them so many times), and the whole time, I was thinking of what your reaction would be Josh. The hilarious parts that I know you’ll really chuckle at. I’m LOVING the schedule at the moment. I’ve not had this many shows on your schedule that I know and love ever!

Definitely!!!!

Absolutely! 👏

Dunno about forgotten

Richard Wilson as Victor understandably got all the plaudits during the show's original run, but every time I re-watch OFITG I'm struck by how brilliant Annette Crosbie is as Margaret. Even when Victor gets the bulk of the funny lines, Margaret is the perfect comic foil, with impeccable timing and little mannerisms that bring the character to life. This is the first episode that really gives her chance to shine throughout, and you can tell she was having a whale of a time with some of her lines: "You'll be out again, won't you? At your girlfriend's. THE ONE WITH THE NAKED BREASTS."

It is :)

GREAT STUFF JOSH LOVING EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS THE SHOW THE REACTION AND DEPTH IN WHICH YOU ARTICULATE A REVIEW....EXCELLENT

Andrew G

People tend to cite "I don't believe it!" as Victor's most memorable catchphrase, but for my money it's "in the name of sanity!". I think this episode was the first time Victor said that. I often use it myself. It's a great saying; "In the name of sanity!".

Right Said Brett

one of the best underrated forgotten sitcoms

Such a great episode. You can tell that the formula is really starting to come together at this point, despite it still being a bit rough around the edges. It makes me glad that UK comedy has always been allowed to breathe and develop at its own pace, otherwise I don't think many British comedies like this, Red Dwarf and Only Fools would have ever got past the first series.

Awesome thanks bud!

Is the art teacher the vicar from only fools? Just curious looks like him

Shane

The art teacher was in the Only Fools & Horses episode "The Frog's Legacy". He played the vicar who didn't want to buy one of Del Boy's computers.

Keith Pratt

Victor’s lines that start with ‘what do you think I mean?’ are always comedy genius!!

CatsandCrafts

Couldn’t agree more! Knowing what’s coming and watching Josh’s reaction makes it even funnier! So many more brilliant episodes to go!! Yay!

CatsandCrafts

The phone book thing is not hitting them with a phone book. You put the phone book on their head for example and hit it with a truncheon . It's an old cop thing for not leaving marks during interrogations. They did it in an episode of "The Shield"

Danny

Another great reaction, Josh! :-) Claire Prowse - Victor peering through the books and his Mahatma Gandhi line was indeed very funny! I just love the intricacies of the plots that build in this show and Josh, you nailed it when you said you couldn't wait to see how it went down just as Mr Wharton gets into the bed. This is so much of what makes this show great - you are given enough to know how it'll likely pan out sometimes but you still can't wait to see it. My favourite line: "What do I mean?! I mean he's creosoting a rhinoceros! What on earth do you think I mean by the phrase "He's gone to bed up there!"" :-D

Ash Jeffries

Seen the episode countless times but when Victor peers at Mr Wharton in bed, through those books it just tickles me!!! Don't know why it's just the look on Victors face🤣🤣🤣. "Mahatma Gandhi is just leaving"😂😂😂

Claire Prowse

Rhubarb is what Victor said

SP

Yes :)

Is that Charlie's teacher from Willy Wonka ?
