2021-08-05 18:02:50 +0000 UTCThe common denominator between The Royle Family and The League of Gentlemen is that Steve Bendelack directed both! 🙏 Different writers of course and The Royle Family is directed by other people later on (including the writers Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash), but just a weird coincidence that he is the principal director for two shows which are premiering on this channel just one day apart! 🙃

2021-08-05 14:36:30 +0000 UTCNot the ideal show to react to so it may take you a few episodes to get into but stick with it and you will come to love the characters. If ever you wondered what Sunday afternoons/evenings were like for a normal Northern family in the 90s - this is pretty much it.
