Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

I wonder if they are stuck in another reality pocket that lasts longer than the rest or if everything is actually happening. It's hard to believe Rimmer would be willing to put up a fight, survive an attack and try to save everyone. Unless he is just trying to save himself and that happens to save everyone else.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

Red Dwarf Season 6, Episode 6 Out of Time

Comments

I can't watch this episode without a touch of sadness as for so many years it was the end of Red Dwarf... so many unanswered questions! Haven't watched any of the new ones yet, so from this point on we're in the same boat. I know some people didn't enjoy them but happy to give it a try!

Steve The Wang Monkey

Same. Its probably the best written episode, plot wise, of all of them.

Sean O'Donnell

For some reason the next episode (first ep of season 7) has always stuck in my memory of being very enjoyable

Michael

If only the future version of the crew went back 1 day earlier, copied the drive from original location then they would never needed to have attacked themselves Or am I just spoiling the fun 😂 lol

Gareth Hood

Sadly youre about to enter a bit of a slump for the series, but there are still good times ahead and now that you love these characters, i hope that is enough to see you through

Michael Harrop

I was a young teenager and my jaw hit the floor at the ending to series 6. After a three and a half year wait I was so pumped for series 7! The quality from this point does vary but well worth continuing the journey!

Philip

Can anyone explain the Tom Baker thing?

Jp

This is a good episode, the bit where they travel to the 15h century is fantastic, and I buy Rimmer's heroic transformation, but man that ending is a stinker, leaving everything unresolved

Gareth Jones

when interviewed by Mr. Flibble, Series VI director Andy DeEmmony had this to say about Rimmer’s heroic charge: “There were quite a few debates about that at the time, because it’s quite out of character. But maybe that’s quite nice. It reached such a point that even he was out of character. Sometimes those breaks in character logic, or the flaw in your plot, is the interesting element.” We, like most fans, don’t see Rimmer’s efforts as a negative break in character continuity, more as a moment of self-actualisation. We applaud Rimmer at this point, as he is finally becoming a hero; something he knows he’s had the potential to be for years. It’s also fitting that, in the broadcast version at least, he doesn’t quite make it. This fits in extremely well with Rimmer’s character – he always intends to do well, but something always goes wrong for him.

Si Burdett

Found this on another site about the ending with Rimmer you might like @josh

Si Burdett

See, I’ve got a soft spot for season 8 but I don’t want to spoil any of it in advance for Josh. Chris Barrie was superb in season 8 too.

Si Burdett

Awesome bud thanks for the info. I am looking forward to the next season even if it will be a bit different.

After Work Reactions

Awesome bud I am looking forward to checking it out!

After Work Reactions

I have mentally prepared myself lol I have heard it is a lot different but I am looking forward to it.

After Work Reactions

Thanks bud I will keep that in mind, I will look to see where the other seasons are available.

After Work Reactions

LOL, I don't think most people would be too happy with me if I stopped the show. Also, I'm far too invested in the characters and the story to stop now lol.

After Work Reactions

I will be doing something, I am planning out my schedule. Stay tuned...

After Work Reactions

Thanks bud I am looking forward to it, I have enjoyed the show alot so far so I am sure I will love it.

After Work Reactions

Yea that is a bummer man to wait that long. I am looking forward to season 7, I hear it is different but I am looking forward to it.

After Work Reactions

Awesome bud I am looking forward to it.

After Work Reactions

LOL I see what you mean man.

After Work Reactions

Thanks bud! LOL that would be quite the task to do that. Take care and have a great week.

After Work Reactions

Thanks bud much appreciated.

After Work Reactions

That is awesome man!

After Work Reactions

Oh man that is such a long wait but I hope it was worth it!

After Work Reactions

That is crazy man, that is a long wait.

The golden age of Red Dwarf hast now ended! Although series 7 dips in quality somewhat (as Rob Grant is no longer a part of the show), it still has lots of good moments. Series 8, however, is utter dog-shite!

Rob Thompson

Alright Josh. Just a heads up. Here is an alternative ending to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Ogy5ZtmA0g Some say that this ending leads to series 10 (Red Dwarf X) and lets you skip the next 3 series. Obviously don't do that - just know that you can. Edited this post because most the information has already been posted.

Ian Webster

Congratulations on 100k Josh. I'm gunna go back and take a shot for every time you ever said 'bogus' or 'cold-blooded'. actually i'd probably die Congratulations! 🌟🎉🥳

Michael

I don't think Rimmer is as bad as he plays up eg how he reacted in holoship when he realised Crane loved him. He's my favorite so I'm admittedly biased lol

Edward Wilkinson

After S6 Rob Grant & Doug Naylor (the shows writers and creators) split up, dissolved their partnership and went their separate ways hence the long gap between S6 and S7. So from this point on Doug Naylor is on his own for the most part or with different co writers for some episodes giving it a pretty different feel. It’s still a good show but just didn’t feel the same afterwards to me…don’t take my word for it though!

Ben Marshall

People hate on S7 however i think it really picks up from here on out. Not a bad episode from here to the end. Cant wait to see the reactions. Thanks

Jonathan Giles

Shaun is absolutely right. This series include the episode Tikka to Ride, one of the best in the whole show in my opinion.

Don Antonio

Keep hold of that curiosity Josh and ignore the complaints from some, Series 7 will bring you just as many incredible moments and just as many laughs... and you won't have to wait as long as we did to watch it.

Shaun Heals

Be prepared for the next season to feel a bit different. We've reached the point where they filmed the entire season 7 without a studio audience and so it has a different energy (the cast all played off a crowd for best comedic timing and effect so far) and (depending on the version you're watching) it may or may not have a laugh track since it was added after filming and is missing on some versions.

Lewis Burridge

uktv play app has them

Andy Farmer

Are you going to be watching up to season 12 and the TV movie Josh? After season 8 it moved to Dave so you may need to find it elsewhere

Kieran B

Perhaps we should have a poll for a new show on Tuesdays, before returning to Series 7. To mimic the 4 year break. 🙂

Gary Tamblyn

I missed the trailer and just luckily stumbled on episode 1 just as it started, that was a great day...

Kieran B

Congratulations. Are you going to do a special video to celebrate 100K YouTube subscribers?

Jake Cross

Some people don't have kind words to say about season 7...Personally I enjoy it a lot and am looking forward to it. It's all a matter of personal taste really. I look forward to seeing how you feel about it, because most of my friends hate it, haha.

ALW

Good reaction, Josh. As others have said it was over 3 years between this episode and the start of Season 7. Season 7 is a drop-off in quality compared to the last couple of seasons, but it's still good and definitely watchable.

Jason

Didn't Series 7 have a US version with horrible CGI? If I remember right, I'd avoid it as it looks so bad.

Season 7 is well worth the wait despite what people say

Stu 79

Can't believe we're at this point all ready. This was the biggest cliff hanger of my life. No Internet rumours or anything to go on until a trailer dropped about 4 years later. It will be interesting to see what your thoughts are on the show going forward as a new viewer vs the thoughts of everyone who saw the next set of seasons as the "newer" ones.

Sean O'Donnell

This was the one moment in the entire series that truly cemented Rimmer as the most rounded of all characters.

Si Burdett

I remember watching this as a kid when it aired (I guess I was 11, looking at the date). Season 7 didn't air for over 3 years after this episode did. The cliffhanger was unbearable!

squarewindow

Ended on a cliffhanger. And we had to wait 4 long years for the next series.
