This was hilarious, Derek doing a ventriloquist act while Kev talks shit backstage cracked me up. The Duran Duran concert was one of the best parts of the episode. Derek just making sounds because he didn't know the lyrics, while Kevs bitching and Dougie looking pissed in the background was such a funny scene.

Then wiping away the tears of laughter together. 🤣 Really nice to see so many throwing plenty of respect to Doc Brown in the comments. The guy is a good actor with solid comic timing. A funny stand up comedian as well. He released an album in 2017 called Stemma, which I've been playing a lot lately. So all those that like Doc I recommend you check it out.

London has a very high number of minorities, to the point they are not actually minorities in London. It's likely the council estate she comes from is made up mainly of black people so, in her life, it isn't black people that get abuse - it's gingers that get it. No matter what your colour or creed and no matter where you are, in a society, a person or group will always be targeted for being different.

2021-05-11 02:12:27 +0000 UTCTotally agree. Life's Too Short and Hello Ladies need to be seen. However, I don't think a lot of people have seen either, particularly Hello Ladies. I have also seen a lot of Americans who don't understand UK and Irish comedy, and I do get a bit of a giggle watching their mixture of appalled horror, utter confusion, and literal interpretations. I watched a guy's reaction to Al Murray vs Americans recently, and not only did he not even show a flicker of a smile at any section of the routine, he also stated at the end that Al Murray must hate the American people. It went completely over his head. Thankfully, there are plenty (like Josh) who do get it and truly appreciate it.

I think it just came out too soon after The Office and Extras, people said he was too much like David Brent. But honestly I think Hello Ladies from Steven Merchant was the best thing created from one of these two post Extras. The special was so good at the end, but seeing a lot of Americans watching British shows, most of them just don't like them. I saw a couple getting offended at The IT Crowd the other day..... :/

Although the Doc Brown bit about stealing the shoes is very similar to the bit he did in the Inbetweeners where he played a drug dealer, pretty much the same joke!
