I will be going back to the Patreon Polling system for TV shows . Pollmaker has a lot of security measures in place to prevent fraudulent votes and I trust the results , but a lot of patrons do not . After posting this poll I received 40+ messages from patrons concerned about the voting system being rigged. There were a lot of people who messaged me saying they could not check the results of the poll as well.
I do understand your concerns because there were a lot of unsuccessful attempts at rigging the votes . These attempts would show has a large spike in votes for a particular show then it drops down. That's the system catching and removing fraudulent votes. But from a casual voter it looks wonky and I get it for sure.
If anyone would like to see how the poll would have turned out if the fraudulent votes were counted check out the image below .

Not as rude and ‘edgy’ as some modern comedies, and may have the odd dated reference in there, but two great 70’s classics. Perhaps the polls should be split into 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 00’s nights. That way, some of the more obscure comedies may get a shout.

Josh, you bought your first Tesla yet ? :-) Didn’t like Derek when I first saw it, It takes a bit of acclimatising to, but you realise how great a character actor Ricky actually is if you persevere, and that it’s actually quite good. I think Karl Pilkington offers a necessary sane narrative throughout Series 1, but without him in Series 2, well... see what you think.... Just happy that Gavin and Stacy didn’t win, although so many like it, perhaps I’m judging that unfairly.

Could I make a request (unless you’ve already considered it and ruled it out for a reason): could you record one episode where you use a green screen behind you and have the show/clip “full screen” with your handsome face superimposed in the bottom right corner? Not saying we don’t like your mancave or the sight of you (your reactions are a huge part of why we pay to watch you!) but when watching on a smaller screen, the show can be very hard to make-out. Even if you just did it for one episode and threw up a poll to see what your audience preferred I think it would be a worthwhile experiment. And, obviously - your superimposed face can be as large or small as you want. :) Cheers, Andy

By the way, whenever there's a poll things seem to get "heated" in the comments regarding the varying opinions on shows etc. but I don't think it's overly serious, so don't worry about that. I myself did not vote for Derek, but it's actually a decent enough show, it has it's faults, but it has enough good moments. I'd like to suggest a couple of shows for the next poll, The Mighty Boosh, which was on previous polls but maybe didn't get enough votes, I think it's worth bringing back as an option. Also the series Flight of the Conchords, based around the comedy music duo of the same name. Not sure how much support these shows will get from your other patrons but I think they're worth a look.
