Vote To Fill the Mondays Show Spot

Remember you can vote on more than one show .

Results Link-https://linkto.run/r/EXR24TTO

Sorry for the repost going forward I will only use Poll Maker . I know there are some who prefer Patreons Poll system but it has it's limitations . Poll-Maker just has more of what I require for polling for example more than 25 slots for voting option .

Hey folks please read this before you ask a question . There's a chance I have already answered the question here or in a previous post linked below.

I changed the show requirement from 24 episodes or less to 26 episodes or less. This will add two weeks to the series completion time . I made this change because I accidentally added a 25 episode show to the previous poll and it came very close to winning . It came in second place , the show was Royal Family . Also through messages , email and comments lots of you have been asking me to add Royal Family to the poll for some time. So I guess my mistake worked out lol. I went ahead and added three other highly requested shows with 26 or less episodes including Man down . This change isn't to bad as I said it only adds two weeks to a series completion time . If you would like more detail about this rule please check out the links below. I explain the reason behind the changes in a previous post.

You are allowed to vote on more than one show. If you have a question as to why a show wasn't carried over please click the bottom link. This link will take you to the previous poll, everything has been explained there.

Vote To Fill the Mondays Show Spot

I do skit shows mostly on YT because they don't have a direct storyline. I don't put skit shows on the poll anymore so I can make it through the other shows people want me to watch and keep individual skits on YT,

After Work Reactions

why no skit shows?

Jade Nepia

Come fly with me, Derek, After Life, Spaced, Knowing me knowing you, Porridge. All shows I'm sure you'd enjoy.

Contex - It's Just A Ride

Everyone’s*

Ethan furness

Come fly with me voted for 💯 i know it’s not everyone cup of tea but being only 6 episodes it should be a nice easy one for Josh

Ethan furness

I wouldn't get too annoyed if your fav doesn't win. They're all going to get a showing eventually, we're really just voting for which order we watch them in. I'll admit I am getting impatient waiting to see Josh react to League of Gentlemen. That's a show worth seeing a reaction to. I think a lot of these other shows, you may like them, but they don't make for good reaction videos.

Alexander Bond

Yeah, people forget that a poverty-stricken family in a council estate in England is not that far removed from a poverty-stricken family living in project housing on welfare in the US. Like The Office, it translates to any culture.

Alexander Bond

Not quite. Gavin & Stacey seem to be leading the way at the moment.

Katie Woodward

Come Fly With Me leading the way........thats pretty depressing lol

Richard M

It's looking like I'll have to start skipping Mondays, but I can't complain. Most of the shows so far are ones I love, so it was just a matter of time before ones I hate made it through. I'm pretty shocked Come Fly With Me is so popular though. Will it even be available to Josh?Wasn't it pulled from uk streaming services for the use of black face?

The Welsh Bigfoot Organisation

Some of these shows getting voted for are far away from being funny.

Shaun Lavin

Hi Josh. Not sure what’s happened here with the polls? When I have cast my vote for Come Fly With Me, and then go onto the results page, it is saying it that Come Fly With Me has approx 340 votes. However, when I go to the results page via the seperate link it only has 260 something and it didn’t seem to count my vote, the poll was still open when I have voted. Not sure what’s happened here bud? I’d understand if there was a glitch with 1 or 2 votes but how can 80 votes disappear? EDIT: Also the numbers I am saying are from the time I have viewed the results, possible they could have changed of course.

Teddy Alison

I know ... right!! Its all gone really mainstream...Gavin and Stacey?? Sigh.. Oh well ....

Claire Prowse

So glad to see Early Doors is at least mentioned. It will never win and I think a lot of the humour will be lost in translation like with Phoenix Nights, but it is a uniquely British gem that never got the credit it deserved. I do think Josh needs to be exposed to the absolute menace of Malcolm Tucker in The Thick of It. Though Veep is based upon it, it doesn't even come close to the subtlety and nuanced political satire of the original. I think there's a good chance Josh will like The Thin Blue Line. It has a healthy mix of the goofy, bizarre and instructive social commentary. I would love to see him watch Porridge. Its choice of setting was the first of its kind, written masterfully - again with the right balance of outrageous humour and touching sentiment. It is inevitable that Gavin and Stacey will be reviewed. Put me firmly in the against category. I couldn't crack a smile once. I do hope Josh revisits That Peter Kay Thing. The variety it offers should guarantee some raucous laughs. It's a shame Inside No. 9 doesn't qualify this time. Whilst not every episode is structured as a comedy, when it is, my goodness it is hilarious. In my mind, it is the cleverest and sharpest (comedy) show on British TV at the minute. How on earth To the Manor Born ended up on here is beyond me. There is no way on earth it could work!!

Dean

The poll’s still open, click on the image, the results so far are just included as a separate link

Kieran B

How is it we only get 2 days to vote? I do not tune in every day because Im not interested in all shows. I always seem to check in after the poll is closed. Two days?!? May I suggest the poll stay open for at least a week, since you're working to a weekly schedule?

𝙶𝚊𝚛𝚢 𝙼𝚘𝚛𝚐𝚊𝚗

Seriously? Come Fly With Me, Royale Family and Gavin and Stacey running away with it geez. The people voting now are WAY different to the ones voting originally. Shows like those barely got a sniff

Danny

I quite liked G & S but it's not laugh out loud funny, quite an easy watch but I wouldn't re watch it. Regarding the Royal Family - I listen to the Sopranos podcast and Michael Imperioli who is an american actor raves about how good it is. He's mentioned to his audience to try and see it. I didn't expect it to translate at all to an american so maybe Josh might be good with it.

David Harman

I don't think Darkplace would work well in clip form.

Alex P

I think Gavin and Stacey is more like an American sitcom than a British one but at the same time he has expressed that he doesn't like over the top romantic stuff and it really is soppy at times with the episodes I have watched anyway, that was the turn off for me as well with it.

I would say that Royale Family is better than G and S comedy wise but the fact that Josh is an American may suit G and S better.. I just don't think he will like The Royale Family

Austin Stratton

Will be interesting to see which one wins. People have some very different tastes when it comes to comedy, I like about 50% of the list.

Mick Mills

Yeah, Gavin and Stacey is not too bad. I didn't vote for it but I would watch it again.

Mick Mills

Agreed, from series 2, Men Behaving Badly is absolutely sublime. In my top 5 of all time for definite.

BigChanChan

Gavin and Stacey is Iconic, I don’t understand why people are giving it such bad reviews. Classic British TV

Craig Collis

Exactly, I think Come Fly With Me is pretty dire but fair play to the people that voted for it if it wins, they get to enjoy their show for a bit. It's not like other shows aren't going to get watched in the future

Kieran B

Really surprised mother’s do av em is not higher tbh also why are people voting gavin and Stacy? I’m not sure that’s a thing he would enjoy reacting to, could be wrong tho

Sam Ringland

I thought the same. 😂

Ashley

This comments section reminds me of why Brexit happened - There's such a wide range of British comedies that as we go through them over time by elimination we're gonna get more territorial. That being said, i never understood the popularity of Gavin and Stacy either... and if we're not going to get Darkplace perhaps he should react to clips of it instead on the youtubes?

Adam C Turek

I will keep that in mind bud!

After Work Reactions

I did one a little while ago, I took the top voted in movies as to what I would watch for a few weeks. I will have another one once I get through those =]

After Work Reactions

Why on Earth would somebody suggest Dinnerladies!?

C Dread

I don't believe so...I will keep it in mind though bud for the next poll =]

After Work Reactions

Gavin and Stacey and Royle Family? Wtf. Where are these people??

ArtVandalHey!

I voted for Porridge.

Keith Pratt

Damn, the Porridge crowd nearly had their masterpiece. Can't be long now before it wins.

Luke

While it's not my favourite I agree that it's not that bad. However I do get why some people don't like it. James Corden can be annoying.

Christopher Horner

Gavin and Stacey is actually quite good. I don't get why people keep shitting on it.

Alex P

Gavin & Stacey. Really!?

Daniel

Really looking forward to when royal family gets a slot

Aaron Knight

Is there a movie poll we can do?

Kelley McDonald

I think I mentioned it on another thread - but I think Wallace & Gromit short films would make a great addition to the poll. It might seem like a kid's show at first, but it's huge over here. Very wacky and full of laughs and pop culture parodies adults will appreciate, and there are only four short films and one feature length - would love to hear what others think of this idea!

Joe Jerome

I agree with the first half. It does stink, but no one is forcing anyone to watch it so I'm happy just watching all the other shows that I like.

Mike Tocci

You've discredited Black Books, and yet call for Allo Allo to be watched. The absurdity of this boggles the mind.

Rob Thompson

Manly Stump

Looks like that awful show Gavin And Stacey is going to win

jack

Can I suggest Men Behaving Badly for a future poll (it would fit in the over 25 episodes category but thought it worth a mention.)? It's called British Men Behaving Badly in the US I believe. It is very much of its time, but a show that I have rewatched and enjoyed a few times and I do think it's a show you'd enjoy, Josh! The cast, especially from series 2 onwards is great although I have a soft spot for Harry Enfield's Dermot in series 1... he is maligned a little unfairly I think as Neil Morrissey is so brilliant and better suited to sitcom. Enfield is more comfortable with sketch based comedy and when he's got creative control I think. I second Steve King's shout out to Game On too. Both Men Behaving Badly and Game On were 90s flat-share sitcoms, but MBB was more mainstream I think - Game On was a bit edgier, slightly darker, but both shows very entertaining and well written. :-)

Ash Jeffries

Is Gavin and Stacy going to win? I don't like that one, better complain in the comments section about how I'm unsubscribing each time a new episode is released...

Z is for Zed

JONATHAN CREEK!!!!

Andrew

Not sure how well this would work for the flow of certain shows, but it would work perfectly for Taskmaster! There's really no need for Josh to commit to all 11 seasons when they all stand on their own. He wouldn't even need to start with the first, he can pick any!

Ben

Might I make a suggestion: have you considered picking some shows randomly? Like, in each new poll that you put up to pick the next shows, you could pick 2 shows that get the highest vote and a third one decided randomly via a random number generator website. That way some less popular but just as good options might have a chance to get into your viewing schedule as well from time to time.

Samadhir

The comments on these polls are always so fun to read 😂

Michael Harrop

I agree, Graham Linehan is very hit and miss for me...I think IT Crowd is genius, Father Ted was good but never got Black Books. Having said that most of my friends found Absolutely Fabulous and Miranda side-splittingly funny whilst I wouldn't even use them to torture someone with

Steve King

Has "Game On" been on the list before? 18 Episodes only and was a big part of my teenage years

Steve King

Would like to see the following on the next Polls when the 26 ep limit is removed.."Time Gentlemen Please" which was a sitcom featuring Al Murray the Pub Landlord who you've reacted to in stand-up form before...it's that character but in a sit-com. Also "Allo Allo" which was the other hilarious World War comedy in the 90s next to Blackadder the 4th

Steve King

Why does Black Books get so many votes? It's possibly the least funny show I've ever seen.

Josh what are your thoughts on doing 1 series of a longer running show and then alternate with another show? For example do 1 series and then alternate with another show before going back to series 2 of the first show. Would keep it fresh and something with 3+ seasons takes a really long time to watch.

Faisal Ramzan

Why isn't the show I prefer not topping the poll? It's not fair that people have different opinions to me. Only I can decide whether Josh will like a particular show or not.

Christopher Horner

Royal family? Im down to 2 shows now, only fools and peeps show. 😒

NEXUS

Taskmaster needed to be on the poll :( would be PERFECT. 3 shows there was good (imo) , not anything i would watch but hey ho :P haven't heard of the rest lol , just voted for come fly with me ...

TheHigh

Depends, doesn't it? How can you like something you've never experienced? I'm not a massive fan of the Royle Family but it's still a nice easy watch. Bit of a change of pace? Really want to see Dark Place myself so hope we get there at some point :)

Joe Gardiner

I feel like people are voting for what they want to watch, not what fits Josh's humour. The Royale Family will bore him to death although it is really good. It's not his thing. The Thick of It even more so. For his sake I really hope we get either Black Books, League Of Gentlemen, Murder In Successville, Man Down, Taskmaster, Mr Bean, Come Fly With Me, Black Books, Inside No 9, Misfits, Plebs, Toast Of London, Afterlife, Derek, Steptoe And Son, Not Going Out or Porridge. We know Josh well enough now to know what he will really enjoy and that's what this is about. Edit: I've split people's opinion slightly, but my point is that it's difficult to see the shows on the list from a foreigners point of view. Most of the votes for things like The Royale Family are well meaning of course, but I think that the references and humour won't translate anywhere near as well as some might think it will. Trust me, I love the show but I don't think Josh will. I could be wrong of course. And I'm not trying to influence the vote in my favour.. This is Josh's channel and I'd hate to sit through weeks of him struggling to understand the references or having to read paragraphs of info before each episode. It's just my opinion, and I agree with some of the opposition to this post. Of course I don't know if Josh will like a certain show without him having seen it, but I've watched him laugh and look confused or bored at enough shows to get a good picture.

Austin Stratton

Glad to see Royle Family and Black Books doing well so far!
