I really enjoyed this movie I covered everything I wanted to say at the end. There are a few seconds maybe 3-6 seconds where it glitched out and I had to fix it . I clip out the glitches hopefully its not to noticeable or disruptive . I don't think so but I did the editing so I am biased lol.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

Rewatched the Alan Partridge series and thought I'd check out the movie again to finish it off, any way to get an unblurred version?

Contex - It's Just A Ride

LOL that was great!

After Work Reactions

The very genuine exclamation "Gasp! Chief O'Brien!" actually made me laugh more than it should've done, I admit.

Jake Snow

Anyway great reaction, great movie! i always enjoy watching stuff togheter with you :)

U could watch "The Trip " movies (there are a few of them) with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon ( the host from WILTY) traveling different countries. They are great! They play exagerated versions of themselves. Maybe put into a poll? I think you would like it, and alot of people do. Think it would be a popular reaction mate!

Carl-Fredrik L

OMG "in a near future where there is an attack from France maybe China that has left us without a sense of smell". wow thats prophetic! althou not intentional attack, one of the symptoms of the virus is loss of smell . Ooof

every time I rewatch this film it gets better. The first time it was a bit meh, second time I thought it was surprisingly good, this time I realise just how brilliant it is. They also did a very good job of universalising it; cutting out most of the Brit-specific references that are everywhere in the TV series. I agree that you need to understand Alan first before you can really appreciate him in this fully. Americans coming into this cold must've been baffled. AP's not instantly appreciable as a comedy star, like Ron Burgundy. RB is just a big dumbo, there's not too much subtlety there, he's a simple fool. Anyone and everyone gets that joke. And I love Anchorman, I'm not denigrating it. But Alan is many layered and very weird, in an incredibly mundane, middle class way. He doesn't translate very well, and even when he does you need to get to know his mannerisms and neuroses and little tics before you can really appreciate him fully. Everyone in the UK grew up with alan in the background, even if they didn't actually watch his shows. There's a cultural background knowledge that we have about him, and especially about that kind of person. So this movie was never going to blow up internationally. But still I love it. I think it's one of the most underrated comedies of the last decade...although, as always, it helps watching it on this channel. Josh's enthusiasm is infectious. Also, Josh, we all get that polls are never going to satisfy everyone and they're probably going to piss off more people than they please. No-one's blaming you for that. You've got to go where the patrons tell you. I'm pleased when it's something I like, disappointed when it's not, but don't feel under pressure mate, all polls are divisive, you only have to go online and google 'top ten greatest' lists, of anything you care about. Then be amazed at how many people HAVE THE WRONG OPINIONS. Everyone feels like that reading polls, it's natural. We don't blame you for it, basically. It's just the nature of polls, they're always infuriating.

It was awesome bud, glad you enjoyed it!

After Work Reactions

Been a few years since i seen i've seen this I forgot how funny it actually was. Cheers Josh

ChrisW

LOL thanks bud!

After Work Reactions

I will add those to my list man, I have always heard they are good I don't know why I haven't checked them out.

After Work Reactions

I will for sure bud thanks!

After Work Reactions

Awesome bud I will check that out.

After Work Reactions

I agree man, it is hard to take a show and make it into a full movie. Most of the time they aren't too good.

After Work Reactions

I just added that to my list!

After Work Reactions

Thanks bud much appreciated!

After Work Reactions

Thanks bud!

After Work Reactions

Awesome man thanks for the link I will check it out.

After Work Reactions

I agree bud I really loved the show. I need to check out more Alan.

After Work Reactions

Alan Partridge Scissored Isle is definitely worth a watch too, it's a 45 minute one-off mockumentary type thing

Ryan Broadley

Just noticed Diane Morgan aka Philomena Cunk in the crowd outside the station, you should check out some her clips of not the full Cunk on Britain series Josh

Kieran B

The Bourne movies are great

Kieran B

The guy who played Dr Foster in Skins isn't in this movie, not sure which one you thought he was

Tom Merson

Good spot on the Four Lions chap, he’s also Bob and owns a garden centre in the swinger episode of I’m Alan Partridge - he’s a military expert on the Mid Morning Matters series that precedes this too

Kieran B

Apart from Lock Stock ..Jason Statham movies are crap!

Hannah

Would love to see Skins ep.1, just saw Dr.foster in this and remembered how good of a series it was. I’ll add Barry from four lions was in this too, never realised. Bloody hell, edit 3: I think the guy with the gun is the escaped lunatic in OFAH from Friday the 14th episode.

L M

I was going to say the same thing, and he watched them both recently! lol

(Just) Steve

not as good as the tv series, these movies never are tho, was the same with the office and the david brent movie.

Cherzo

Yes saxondale is brilliant

Rich Moyse

Yes saxondale is brilliant

Rich Moyse

Did mid morning matters come up on the poll ?

Rich Moyse

Hey Josh, the music at the start of the film was Cuddly Toy, by Roachford. by the way, as you asked about it. So now you can do your Alan Partridge style lip syncing in the car 😃

Gary Tamblyn

Who was Michael the Chicken ? Thought you meant the actor Simon Greenall ?

Gary Tamblyn

Please check out this interview, Coogan went on Jonathan Ross in character as Alan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0GiwGvFjuE

Manly Stump

I mean polls are polls. I don't always get the movie I want I just deal with it. Luckily, I love this film :)

Magnet Hand

R.I.P Michael... the Chicken

Adam C Turek

I've bought all the Alan shows that are available here in the U.S. and just watched many of them again on HBOMax. Steve Coogan is so damn funny as Partridge and this film was really good, even watching it the 2nd time. Another really funny Coogan show is Saxondale. It was only on for 13 episodes over two series in 2006-07 but it's hilarious and worth a watch for anybody who hasn't seen it yet. The intense policeman Steve Stubbs was played by Sean Pertwee, son of 3rd Doctor Who Jon Pertwee. He's also in Dog Soldiers, a great horror film.

Mike Tocci

Awesome movie. One of my all time faves. Thanks josh. By the way, you've seen 2 Jason statham movies... Snatch and Lock Stock.

Steve Small

See this is the Alan Partridge I've seen and I thought "it sucks, why does everyone like it". However watching the original series for the first time here, I thought it was brilliant. I just don't think Steve Coogan is funny post the original series.

LOL that scene was great. I really enjoyed it! I for sure need to check out more Alan. Take care and have a great week.

After Work Reactions

Thanks bud! I for sure want to check out more of Alan, he is hilarious.

After Work Reactions

That is awesome man. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks for the Alan suggestions man, he is hilarious and I really enjoyed his show.

After Work Reactions

It was great!

After Work Reactions

Jesus christ I just stayed up till 4 in the morning to watch this 😴 I was only going to watch the first 15 minutes tonight lol. Really enjoyed it. The way that copper said what you doing, it's weird? and then it cut to Alan standing there like that cracked me up 😂 and Michael apologising for shitting in the lunchbox lol. Great reaction Josh, your laugh makes things even funnier. Thanks :D

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

Good spot with the Four Lions guy, I had a feeling he looked familiar but couldn't put my finger on why! There was a series that came before Alpha Papa called Mid Morning Matters, worth checking out if you want more Alan. Simon is a regular in that too, and he's definitely given Michael a run for his money to be my favourite supporting character (especially after This Time with Alan Partridge, which came later).

David Lyons

I'm a massive Partridge fan ... and yet ... never saw this movie! but I think I'm gonna break my rule and watch it for the first time as a reaction. I don't usually do that, but since it's a character I'm very familiar with, I don't feel I "need" to watch it separately first, and you're not an "intrusive" reactor Josh, and you're already a fan of Partridge so it will be a great viewing experience I'm sure :) Weird to think, I'm one of the people who was suggesting Partridge to you for a while, and yet you've seen some Partridge media before I did!

Ben

JURASSIC PARK! Been waiting for this :-D

Jack Morgan

FINALLY!!!! Woo!!
