I see what you mean bud I agree =]

I am not a fan either I feel like John Sullivan struggles to write the kind of characters present in that episode, so it reverts to a lot of old stereotypes about the upper class which just aren't hugely accurate.

ALW

I’ve always thought Del should have went and he could of sent Rodney money and they would have been better off money wise

Gregg

Thanks for the info bud. I have heard some mixed reviews about the next episode. Its all good though I am really enjoying the show either way.

After Work Reactions

Thanks for the input bud. I have heard some mixed reviews about next weeks episode.

After Work Reactions

“That’s hell of a parting you got” 🤣

I love getting in from work on a Friday night and getting my fix of Only Fools! Have of course seen them all before but love sharing you’re journey through the series Josh. My favourite series is the next one (Series 6) really looking forward to you watching those but the series 5 finale “Dates” is an absolute Gem that sets the next series up so well, roll on a few weeks!

Scott Williamson

Yeah the next episode cans the laughter track, turns from an interesting story into more and more tragedy and has the weirdest ending probably of all episodes as if to try and make the audience forget the tragedy in the episode. It’s more of an interesting episode sociologically than as a sitcom but it has it’s funny moments. Guaranteed though after this episode the classic era of OFAH starts- every episode after this tops anything you’ve ever seen before and follows a more long term story.....

Jehan Ariyaratnam

The next episode is weird. I find it a difficult watch because Del borders on the sadistic in it. But by most standards its still very good. After that its just magnificent every time. Really looking forward to watching your videos of those ones.

Richard M

Awesome bud thanks. I will check out the link bud, much appreciated!

After Work Reactions

Yea she is doing good. Working alot and working on training our dog alot.

After Work Reactions

He was really good in this episode I agree man.

After Work Reactions

Haha lol its all good. This was a really good episode I enjoyed it! Their relationship makes the show special.

After Work Reactions

Totally agree man.

After Work Reactions

LOL that was hilarious =]

After Work Reactions

Thanks bud! Have a great weekend!

Great reaction Josh! This has some really moving moments and I agree with you that Del is a good brother. He does twist Rodney around his little finger at times for his own benefit but he's also quite selfless and thoughtful where it really matters. The feature length specials are by and large excellent IMHO, To Hull and Back as you've seen is great. The Frog's Legacy, Dates and The Jolly Boys' Outing, are very good, excellent and superb respectively. Sadly, I am one who doesn't like next week's episode, A Royal Flush, at all. I won't say too much and you may disagree but it's tonally really off for OFAH IMHO, and I know it was writer John Sullivan's least favourite episode.... it was rushed and he wasn't there for much of the filming so it's a bit off kilter. I do think it'll please you in terms of there being a story as others have said but it'll be interesting to see what you make of the characterisation and overall feel of the episode.

Ash Jeffries

my favourite Comedy of all time

Justyn

Not sure it was due to dwindling viewing figures (take a look at them) but more David Jason exploring other projects.

BertFredStan

Really great episode; gives me mixed feelings in a way because obviously I don't want the show to end, but also obviously you know they would have loved it working with Jumbo!

ALW

It’s not really a bad episode it just doesn’t really have a thick storyline. More could have been added. Still has its funny moments though.

Teddy Alison

Albert was hilarious in this episode. He's got some iconic lines in future episodes. Looking forward forward next week's episode 😀

Logan Jukes

Hey man, we haven't seen Tay in a while, is she doing alright?

antlermagick

Yeah, I always skip the next episode, I feel like Del comes off less like a lovable scamp and more like just a plain arsehole! John Sullivan wasn't happy with it IIRC. The series only gets better and better from here though.

antlermagick

Every episode of series 6 & 7 are classics!

AWR93

I’m glad you enjoyed this one Josh. Especially after last weeks one. Next episode can be hit and miss, personally I like it but I heard some people are not a fan, however it doesn’t lack a storyline so I think you’ll like it. Every single episode after next weeks one however is a cracker. Look forward to you reacting to the specials now.

Teddy Alison

Due to dwindling viewing figures, the whole show was meant to finish at the end of this episode, with Del accepting the offer and going to Australia. But eventually, the show got a sixth season and so Del declined the offer and stayed. And I think everybody involved from the characters themselves, the people working on the show and all the viewers are so happy that Del said no and stayed in Peckham

Sam Dilks

And he had a bad Australian accent back then, as well, if I remember right ?

Gary Tamblyn

Glad he changed his mind. I don’t think the spin off “Hot Rod”, if it was ever made, would have gone beyond one series. I think it would have attracted too many comparisons.

Gary Tamblyn

Will be interesting to see what you think of next week’s special. I personally think the 2 specials that follow it are a lot better. “Dates” is a good one.

Gary Tamblyn

As a baldilocks myself I love the jokes about Jumbo's "parting", it reminds me of Secret of Monkey Island when Guybrush meets Meathook. https://images6.fanpop.com/image/photos/38500000/The-Secret-of-Monkey-Island-The-Comic-monkey-island-38532635-656-982.jpg

Manly Stump

Jumbo Mills was played by Nick Stringer. The same actor played the guy del sold the clapped out car to in the second episode. He had a hell of a parting there aswell lol. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Only_Fools_Go_West.jpg

will doyle

Don’t know if you noticed Josh but the actor playing Jumbo is the same guy back in Season 1 Episode 2 who Del sold the dodgy car to - guess they thought the audience wouldn’t remember him!

Ben Marshall

Oh man its finally time for the longer episodes and season 6 in a few weeks. There's so much to get hyped for. Persoanlly i cant wait to see Josh watching The Unlucky Winner Is. Cheers for the great content bro.

Stuart

That's one hell of a parting you've got there, Josh;) I'm sorry, I just had to lol. I love this episode, especially the pub scenes with Jumbo's wig. Some great lines, especially from Uncle Albert and Rodney 😂 The relationship between Del and Rodney is what makes this programme extra special. Not a big fan of next week's but I can't wait for the great episodes you've got coming up in the next few months :)

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

Brotherly love. 😥

Daryl

Glad to be back on form again! I had never seen last week's episode before - I never knew there was such a thing as a bad OFAH episode.

Pkirby422

Josh, if the version of "A Royal Flush" you watch next week is only 58 minutes long, please also react to this compilation of all the cut scenes: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1l5b17

Keith Pratt

Looks like Keith Lemon's Dad lol.

I’m not bald !, Well that’s a hell of a parting you’ve got there son ! My favourite line ever 😃

Gary Tamblyn

Can’t wait to see what Josh thinks of next weeks feature special “A Royal Flush”. Depending on what version you watch there could be at least 20 minutes cut from the episode. The original broadcast ran for 1 hour 15 minutes, whereas the edited version is just under an hour.

AWR93

Well that's one hell of a parting! 🤣 Albert was on top form in this one. We see here what the main underlying features of OFAH and that is family, its the most important thing to Delboy.

NEXUS

This could have been the last ever episode. David Jason was considering leaving the show, and John Sullivan began planning a spin-off for Rodney and Mickey Pearce, but David changed his mind at the last minute, so the ending was re-written.

Daniel Davies

I love Friday because the weekends almost start and we get your reaction. I'm on my way to work now and later when I get home I'll watch your reaction. That is for me the best way to finish my work week.
