This was just what I needed after a rough day, so much fun. Used to sing that song all the time. It was nice to see Cat being able to really show off his moves, and it was funny how he and Rimmer joined forces in laughing at Lister even though they usually don't get along :D

Series 3 is where red dwarf really finds its stride. Things get a lot more sci fi and kryten comes in full time

The actor that played Queeg in the last episode help choreograph the opening Dance number, apparently the creators were a bit annoyed because it was only meant to be something small but turned into an entire song and dance and was taking time away from shooting the actual show. Chris Barrie (Rimmer) and Craig Charles (Lister) weren't big fans of it either cos they're not dancers, but you can tell Danny is in his element.

Was never that fond of this episode. Let's see if it's grown on me.. It actually has. Better than I remembered. The music from Tongue Tied was playing in the hotel lobby in Stasis Leak, btw. 🙂

Aside from the crawl text, which is useful, I think we ought to keep schtum about the next series onward. Some people have already mentioned some changes which I think is unfortunate. It would be great to see Josh react to things uninitiated wherever possible - after all those who watched it the first time wouldn't have expected them. I get we're all keen for the next series!

Before you watch series 3 it’s worth reading this text, it scrolls up the screen Star Wars style super fast at the start of episode 1 of the series - was near impossible to read on VHS and still tricky even on digital. Hey Josh, at the start of series 3 a text crawl goes past to explain what happened between 2 and 3. It’s to fast to read when watching so here it is. It will answer some of your questions; Three million years in the future, Dave Lister, the last human being alive, discovers he is pregnant after a liaison with his female self in a parallel universe. His pregnancy concludes with the successful delivery of twin boys, Jim and Bexley. However, because they were conceived in another universe with different physical laws, they suffer from highly accelerated growth rates and are both eighteen years old within three days of being born. In order to save their lives, Lister returns them to the universe of their origin where they are reunited with their father (a woman), and are able to lead comparatively normal lives. Well, as normal as you can be if you've been born in a parallel universe and your father's a woman and your mother's a man and you're eighteen years old three days after your birth. Shortly afterwards, Kryten, the service mechanoid who had left the ship after being rescued from his own crashed vessel, the Nova 5, is found in pieces after his space bike crash lands onto an asteroid. Lister rebuilds the 'noid, but he fails to recapture his former personality. Meanwhile Holly, the increasingly erratic Red Dwarf computer, performs a head sex change operation on himself. He bases his new face on Hilly, a female computer with whom he'd once fallen madly in love. And now the saga continuums
