Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

I really enjoyed this movie, I was really surprised when things started getting serious and sad. All of the characters in this movie were funny fantastic. There are so many memorable funny scenes that make me look forward to watching this again with some friends. The opening scene, the car augment about buying bomb-making supplies from amazon, I disguise my voice to buy bomb supplies from the same store scene, etc. An excellent movie I covered most of my thought at the end of the film. I know there has to be some message or something I may have missed that I might catch a second time around.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

Four Lions 2010 Comedy Full Movie Reaction

Comments

LOL it was a great movie!

After Work Reactions

I've watched this reaction so many times ๐Ÿ˜‚

Liam

That is interesting man thanks for sharing, I can totally see what you are saying. Take care man.

After Work Reactions

I hadn't watched this film before but was fully aware of its existence. My take away feels vastly different from what I can interpret from most of the comments. I saw this film as more of drama with exaggerated comedic inflections that sought to provide insight to a massively complex issue. They were always going to die for nothing or get caught trying. As they planned to take others with them. Better to live for something. Using comedy satire to make you think is a brave and bold move. I didn't come away laughing. I came away thinking.

Daryl

Wasn't the biggest fan of the film, it was alright

Jack Veazey

Awesome man I am looking forward to the movies as well =] I am bummed The Office is over but excited to start a new show as well. Take care bud!

After Work Reactions

As much as I enjoyed your Fawlty Towers reactions Iโ€™m buzzing for these movie Sundays now, such a great selection of films. I actually wanted to watch 4 Lions again last week but itโ€™s not available for free on any of my apps, then I get a notification for this! It was meant to be. Honestly canโ€™t wait for the office finale tomorrow.

Tom French

this is hilarious and would probably never fly in the states

Leeroy Nabowitz

Glad someone said it! Great movie, great reaction and great post critique ๐Ÿ˜Š

Darrell Pringle

Great reaction mate, agree that Brasseye would be the next place to go. Chris Morris borders on genius at times when he does satire. (Sure you know but he was also the angry farmer on Alan Partridge show!) Keep up the good work

David James Cooper

Great critique Josh.

bex evans

Now you need to do Brass Eye for more Chris Morris brilliance. :)

Lawson Briggs

That scene made very little sense, but tbh the political statement this film was trying to make made very little sense either. It's why it failed as political commentary, although it was so funny(and sad, towards the end) I don't think anyone really cared. I think the intention was to add some complexity to the usual conception of a jihadi as a very strict, angry psycho who either doesn't have a woman in their life or if they do keeps them locked away. The thing is...there's a reason that's a cliche, it's because it's often true. Jihadis are rarely family men, and if they are they're never the ridiculous Kellogg's cornflakes advert version of a family that we saw when Riz Ahmed's character was at home.

Saul

What a funny and wonderfully fucked up film

Ross

LOL very true =]

After Work Reactions

That's awesome bro I will have to check it out.

After Work Reactions

Thanks bud I did enjoy this a whole lot. I do love dark humor. That is awesome man I have had a few others say they were close to the filming locations.

After Work Reactions

Very true man!

After Work Reactions

Awesome =]

After Work Reactions

I loved it as well, thanks for the recommendation I will add that to my list =]

After Work Reactions

Tell that to the family of Jean Charles de Menezes. Brazilian electrician or radical jihadist? Tough to tell, innit.

Joe Gardiner

Thanks bud I am happy you enjoyed it. That is awesome you recognized the filming locations. Snatched is the next movie =]

After Work Reactions

Thanks bud.

After Work Reactions

Awesome I am happy you enjoyed =] This movie was great. =]

After Work Reactions

British police donโ€™t make these mistakes when it comes to terrorists they had 40 of year experience of fighting the ira and foiling bomb plots and gunnings these fools would of been shot dead before any bomb exploded .they are highly trained

ChrisW

The Full Monty is definitely worth adding to your list. Itโ€™s about a group of average Joes who canโ€™t find work so they decide to become strippers. It won a lot of awards when it was released including a Academy Award.

Lee

The actor playing the slow guy is person behind phone jacker and face jacker

Paul Lightfoot

forgot how good this film was, thanks josh! are you going to be doing borat 2 anytime? i know you wanted to check i out!

luke

This movie is jokes, but not sure about the scenes with Riz's family. They say the (relatively) moderate dude from the mosque is too extreme, but he's defo gonna blow himself up? And his family and wife is fully with it, despite clearly not being strict herself? Maybe it was trying to highlight how anyone (even less conspicuous people) can become radicalised, but it's not usually people with comfortable and stable lives.

Ismaeel Ahmed

You might not have access if you're not at a particular level as a patron. someone more knowledgeable, please help this guy out...

Saul

it's funny seeing Doctor Strange/Smaug calling someone an "arse man"

Adam C Turek

Word out also to this film's wonderful soundtrack, esp. the Aphex Twin track that plays at the credits

Saul

'Rubber dingy rapids bro' - has been an in joke in my family ever since we watched this

Saul

I'll second Nathan Barley, it also features Richard Ayoade (Moss from IT Crowd) as well as the Mighty Boosh duo

Steve King

"Fuck Mini-Babybels"

Steve King

Where can I find the poles to vote? Iโ€™m not very good with patrons? Thanks ;)

Sam Ringland

Hey Josh! I'm really glad you watched this movie as its one of my personal favs when it comes to gritty british comedy. I think its amazing how they took such a dark topic and made fun of it and entertaining haha, also just a fun fact the part where they are squat running with the bags of explosives, thats meersbrook park in Sheffield and i used to live on that exact road i can remember seeing them.

Carl White

It's a brilliant movie, Morris was brave to touch on this subject matter at that time! Check out the movie by Morris, The day shall come, also good but not as.... he also co-wrote a series with Charlie Brooker called Nathan barley which was very weird and funny.

Daniel

I love this film, it goes to show you can make a comedy out of any taboo subject when done right.

Adam C Turek

Mad weird coincidence that this reaction was released in the day Lee Rigbys killer went to hospital for covid ๐Ÿ˜‚

Fred

My mate was in the film as an extra.

daniel venables

Just Love this film ! Waj is just perfection! As is faisal...๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I highly recommend the film 'east is east' btw!!

Claire Prowse

Alex McQueen is the actor playing the politician/Neilโ€™s dad - Kevin Sutherland is Neilโ€™s dadโ€™s name!

DS292

Hey josh just like you I never heard of this movie. Imagine my suprise ro find it is filmed in my home city of Sheffield. I recognised just about every location they visited. Keep up the good work pal. What movie is next?๐Ÿ‘โค๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ

ezza

hey, Josh, just as a connection for you if you didn't know, the guy who plays Waj (Kayvan Novak) is the same guy who did 'Phonejacker' and 'facejacker'.

crispey bear

Just be thankful that Corbyn isn't in charge!

(Just) Steve

Great :) I'd forgotten what film you were doing next so this was a nice surprise. So many great moments in this. Now I need to get to bed ๐Ÿ˜ด

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

You know what I didn't even put that two pieces together lol. I just thought the cops were incompetent after watching them shoot a civilian because of poor communication .

After Work Reactions

Yeah, I did for sure I was like wtf is he talking about. I just went back and watched the scene and now I'm thinking how and hell did I not realize that he was talking about what they did in Pakistan lol

After Work Reactions

No, I didn't realize that was him thanks

After Work Reactions

Happy Birthday, and many rapid rubber dinghys to you and all of your friends and family.

Tony Smyth

Lmao this is great

After Work Reactions

The Weetabix ending I had to Google.. (Where the guy holds up the Weetabix and says "We know a lot more than you think we do") In Chris Morris' afterfilm Q&A, Charlie Brooker asked him this question. His answer was that initially, it was a sort of punchline to a joke set up much earlier in the film, where Barry was talking about how Weetabix could be made into explosives in large enough quantities. However, this scene ended up being cut, leaving the punchline - the Weetabix interrogation - floating. However, test audiences still laughed at it, seeing it as not the punchline to an earlier joke, but just a piece of Morrisian surreality, so it was kept for that reason. So what was initially a joke about the police being just as stupid the terrorists (actually believing in a Weetabix bomb) turns into one about the police just being completely way off the track.

Austin Stratton

Lol awesome bud, this was really good I did enjoy it.

After Work Reactions

Awesome man, I enjoyed it!

After Work Reactions

Wow, Benedict Cumberbatch was in this? I saw this in the cinema when it came out but I guess I had no idea who he was at the time! (the release of the film pre-dated Sherlock by a few months.) There were a couple of cameos that should've seemed familiar : Kevin Sutherland (Neil's dad from the Inbetweeners) was the politician weaseling out of shooting the wrong man, and Kevin Eldon (French IT support guy from the IT Crowd) was the sniper who shot the wookie. Also, while I knew this was Chris Morris' movie (Brass Eye, The Day Today), I only just noticed that writing credits were shared with Sam Bain & Jesse Armstrong (Peep Show)!

David Lyons

I couldn't tell if you figured it out or not but the reason why they shot the wrong guy is because Waj had pushed the bomb over to his side shortly before.

Tyler Shaw

hope everyone is doing well , funny film this :P

TheHigh

YAY I've been waiting for this one!

Lydia

I think Josh missed the reference when Omar was telling his kid the story of The Lion King but used what had happened to him in Pakistan.. "He threw the stone so hard it went behind him" ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Austin Stratton

We should set off a bomb in Dailymotion. Remind them of who is the REAL boss. Who's with me Bro's?

Tony Smyth

OMG what a birthday present, this movie is elite

Ethan furness

Just when i thought this channel couldn't get any better. My tier isnt high enough to see the polls so this choice of movie to see you react to is a very nice surprise ๐Ÿ˜

Ducactus

The actor for Waj is the dude in fonejacker, Iโ€™m not sure if youโ€™ve reacted to that before, great show

Toby Lewis

Nice one Josh, seen it loads but guess I'm just about to watch it again! ๐Ÿ˜

Daniel

Growing up in Luton, this movie would be funny if it wasn't so true. Tony War Blair was such an idiot, has to be the worst PM we've ever had and that's saying something with Boris ruining the economy.

Josh discussing how the new movie polls will work... https://tenor.com/Ig6X.gif ๐Ÿ˜€

Ryan Lynch

Josh, any chance you can pin the movie poll post? I'd love to know in advance which film we can expect to see each week.

Manly Stump

Awesome choice. Christopher Morris (Denholm- it crowd) is a master at bringing comedy to a very serious subject. Some of this movie was shot a few miles down the road from me. Can't wait to watch this again!

Sean O'Donnell

All for a good cause!

Louis Hessey-Antell

Me and my mates still call each other brother Omar from time to time. Absolutely love this film!

Toby Lewis

Rubber dinghy rapids bro!

Chris H

not a chance you're going sleep now this has been posted haha

A

Nearly midnight here but, nah, it's alright I didn't want to go to sleep anyway. I like this idea of a dedicated film night you are doing.

Ryan Lynch

So hyped to watch this, one of my favourite movies. Cheers bro!

A
