Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

You can never go wrong with a time paradox sci-fi episode. Well, when it comes to me you cant lol. This episode included more funny moments and they showed a bit more of the ship giving it a bit more scale. I like that Holly he's a bit of a dick he kind of reminds me of the Doctor from Star Trek Voyager. Well, they are both dicks with a bald spot lol.  I am curious to see what more they will do with The Cat. So far he is just a guy who likes to dress nice and has cat-like behaviors. This isn't a knock on the character, they just haven't done much yet with him compared to the other three. I know I sound impatient and character development takes time lol just typing my thoughts.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

After Work Reactions

I have been hearing that, I have been enjoying it already but I look forward to it. Most shows take the first season to really find their footing and work on developing the characters. Thanks bud take care!

Oh look it's you again. Do you watch the ones you comment dislike for? or you just gunna post the same comment on every upload you dont like

Michael

How do I suggest things for the polls? Namely Porridge, one of the best British sitcoms of all time, and Rising Damp.. again, incredible! Also for hour long episodes and more Comedy/drama stuff, Misfits and Black Mirror

Austin Stratton

I've never found it funny as I said before, I just look at it as a wacky Star Trek.

Red Dwarf was never one of my top 5 but what every else says is true, it does get a lot better as the seasons go on..

Luke Barron

Just FYI (NOT A SPOILER), Kryten (the mechanoid) doesn't turn up until S2 and is played by a different actor. He really becomes THE Kryten in series 3.

Ian Webster

good shit this show is like the new bottom of the roster a wild card first episode and then amazing creativity i love it

Leeroy Nabowitz

Oh God no, don't watch the US version pilot!

RD is one of the main late 80s shows I remember watching through high school, so I generally watched it from the early to late 90s. There is a lot of nodding towards old school sci fi shows in there. In character creation for certain creatures, it purposely doesn't go too far beyond Star Trek TOS or retro scifi in general. I'd bet RD still has a fair cult fanbase in the UK and elsewhere with it's own scifi conventions. The characters Lister and Rimmer do tend to have the most airtime arguably as the main characters, but that balances out more as the show progresses. I'm not sure how this compares to the official novels. Someone has probably mentioned it, but when Danny applied for the acting role as Cat, he was a professional dancer. I'm not sure if the writers were after a dancer to play the role or not but I'm sure there's a lot of improvisation in there. Danny appears in the official George Michael music video for Edge of Heaven (1986ish) where he gets up and dances on stage with him halfway through. ps after you finish the series, you might want to eventually look up the US version if you haven't already (pilot episode is on ytube). The english actress who plays Holly is the only person I know that is linked to a well known US comedy

They do more with Cat don't worry. All of them get to shine. And while Season 1 is more of the set up, from Season 2 onwards it gets better with the golden age being Season 3-6. I mean if Sir Patrick Stewart became a fan of this show after he was going to sue them because he thought they ripped of Star Trek The Next Generation, it shows how good it becomes.

Happiest Aku

I'm sure this has been mentioned a few times. The first season is pretty poor and a struggle to get through. The budget was low, and the characters weren't fully realised. You'll see a definite improvement with Season 2 though. Season 3 is where the budget increased dramatically, and Kryten the android comes in as permanent character (Kryten does appear for an episode in Season 2, but with a different actor) . That's when it really becomes truly great, and a blast to watch. Cat's character also improves drastically, so stick with it if you can Josh!

Jay

Yeah I was gonna say the same.... and real scientific theories and concepts

mwdoom

Even though its a comedy first it comes up with some great Sci Fi concepts and ideas along the way that rivals any other space drama . As a Cat owner yourself it'll be interesting to see if you pick up on any feline habits from the Kat.

Arnold Rimmer is my favourite sitcom character ever, hes a self serving smeg head but hes our smeg head. Met Chris Barrie several times, such a lovely guy!
