As soon as they said they were leaving and putting Polly in charge I was like ok this will go south for sure. Basil cracks me up he will talk crap, threaten or put his hands on anyone. I loved how terrified he was when he realized he was screwed. Also, the makeup they put on John Cleese in this episode made him look half dead lol. I assume they did that on purpose to show how stressed he was or maybe his makeup always looks this way and I am just noticing it. Another good episode!

David Kelly (who plays O Reilly) said that the scene where Sybil hits him with the umbrella took a few takes because they trying different levels of foam padding. What you see is the scene where they used the least padding. Kelly said she was basically hitting him with a metal bar, so the pain is real

No slight at all to Fawlty Towers. It was like the feeling I had some mornings where I woke up happy and normal and then realized pandemic is here, and I got jolted back to reality.
